well i think thats a big possiblility. intelegent life may not be in our galaxy, which mean trying to travel to another galaxy, warp drive cant do that. in fact the chances are most probally being life only in a few galaxys because of the rare chance needed for intelegent life to be on another planet. there may be planets like ours out there, but there is a narrow time frame index needed for there to be that life there in the same time frame as ours. there may be primates or immortal beings(final stage of evolution like the Q). its pretty much chance, and you never know, there might be dinasaur like creatures on the other planet. but if we assume that a planet capable of supporting life like our own has its own life eveloution like our own(quite possible) when we get to it we could observe it at any stage in its potential eveloution. wow, that has to be my longest post, i know, needs proper spelling, paragraphing etc

For me Star Trek will never end as I can always go back and watch old episodes/movies again, create my own stories and RPG's ....... I don't believe the Trek universe is infinite, but there is probabaly enough to keep a fan well and truely interested in one lifetime.

I would say that it is possible for Star Trek to end because all the charaters of the shows could die then what are they going to do, they could replace them with new people but it wouldn't be the same as the one's that are on star trek know, so yes it is possible for it to end.

Im my mind Captain Janeway is one of the best Captain's of the hole Voyager time, heck she is one of the best Captain's period!

It's entirely possible that it will end, they've exhausted many ideas and themes already. It's been on since the seventies: that's a REALLY long time for a franchise. Don't get me wrong: I don't want it to end, (They still haven't done any DS9 or Voyager movies!!!) but it is really a possibility.

Star trek can go on forever, but that doesnt mean fans will still want to watch it. For me, the star trek tv series ended with the next generation, and sadly I think nemesis is the last TNG based movie they'll ever make. Too many key characters either died or moved on.
If it was the last star trek movie PERIOD, I think the someone would let us know.

Yeah, thats good! It gives me more hope, but they can always make more TNG movies Maybe a TNG movie where I am in it with Jean-Luc Picard

CAUTION-------SPOILER!
How are they going to do another movie without Data? IMO he was the second most essential character to the series. Without him it wouldnt be the same.

I REALLY don't want Star Trek to end (obviously!), but I'm afraid that there will be no more series like Voyager or DS9. Sure, Enterprise is good, but I just don't get the similar feeling. I say we join together and write our own series! Heh, that'd be cool.

*Sigh* I'm too apathetic (lazy) to create a ST Signature Picture, thus using this one I made a while ago.
