Poem (Untitled)

[Deciviel]

Looking across a vast torrent of waves and currents,
to the light of a lighthouse across the sea.
It�s light penetrates my very soul, my very being,
and at last my inner most desires reveal themselves to me.

The foghorn in the distance sounds,
and I am guided ashore by it�s reassuring monotonic reverence.
My feet are appeased with the pine laden dock,
I am at last reunited with sweet lady land.

As I start for the north, to the sanctity of my secluded paradise,
the salt scented air tapers off and becomes nothing but a reminder
of the perplexing and endearing struggle,
of which I now leave behind me.
I set forth a foot upon the mud rich earth,
and the stride of my soul remains unhindered..

The melancholy clouds being to recede,
replaced by the enriching aura of the sunlit sky.
And for a moment, just one moment,
I feel as though the sun is calling to me,
begging me to regale it with tales of my wearisome travels.

Yet I must decline, and make my way onward,
whilst the ever so soft spoken word of my heart confirms the tranquility empowering my body.
And I answer that confirmation with a long overdue sigh of fresh air,
oh, how sweet it feels as it enters my lungs, enriching my body and mind.

And at last, after a seemingly endless, intrepid journey,
I reach the destination to which I have for so long longed to reach.
I drop my pack and let loose a quick laugh,
and I embrace the luxurious sight before me.

I have reached the end, the end of my long and endearing struggle.
I have finally reached the gracious extent of my dream.
My dream to return home again,
my dream to return home.
