There is a topic here, in WN, where you can post, or link us to publications concerning the war. From your own individual countries...... legitimate media sources, not stuff like the Enquirer. Yet none of you have done that. Why? | 'Cause then I'll have to translate it. |
So? | Why should I translate it? |
^You seem to think that all American media is biased. Which most of it is, against the President. You say you can prove it. You also seem to post contrary to just about everyone, so if you really can back up what you say, you would. It's no big deal to translate one or two articles, or at the very least, provide the links so that we can translate them ourselves. I guess I don't understand why you wouldn't want to take a few minutes to post something that may validate your arguments.

I know what you mean... every station is like "War in Iraq" ... no offence but the american channels are the worst. It's horrible, i get "Get an Iraqi T-shirt!" in my inbox! How senceless can people be. "OH! YEH! a war is going on, I just need a tshirt to comemorate this year....but does it come in blue?"

I can't beleive the gall of some people complaining having to see the war...
Look at it this way: you've got a TV, you've got a nice home, you've got a bed to sleep in. Meanwhile in Iraq, U.S. soldiers are sleeping in ditches, Iraqi people are fighting for food and water, and the world is changing around you. People are being freed from oppression at great cost, and you don't have to sacrafice a thing, except maybe a few hours worth of TV programming....
It takes a lot of odassity to know that's going on, then complain about having to see it from your own comforts...

Hello everybody. I would like to say that I only hope the Americans ARE involved in some form of colonial quest, for the sake of the world. The best thing that could happen to this world at the moment is that the benevolent states unite and conquer evil. After they do, they should try and form a single ruled country, and then try and reform economics in order to eradicate disease and poverty etc.

One of many --- I agree with your whole post except for the use of the word Colonial. We are'nt colonizing, and that's a bad impression to spread. Too many think that's what we're trying to do, though we've done nothing of the sort.
I would'nt mind for a minute living in "the United States of America, Brittan, Spain... and the rest."

Nah, and the US just likes to blow things up (Sorry... just remembered a tv program on demolition... nothing to do with the war at all )
With regard to the news on TV... I was watching it today (I get the 5 channels of terrestial British TV, BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, Channel 4 and Five) and all of the channels bar BBC2 at one point had the news on. I'd already been watching it for 2 hours, so I wanted to watch something else, and I didn't want to watch what was on BBC2, what was I meant to do? (Johny was on the puter... grrr!)
We are having an overdose of war news, especially since most of it isn't new, but luckily it'll be over soon (I hope!)

Yeah... but I have a 56k modem and Johny was playing games on the puter, so KaZaA would've been useless!

You know what I find amazing?
The oposition first said that the iraqi people are a proud population and would never welcome the US
Now it turns out that they do, all of a sudden they have no opinion snd are simply going with the flow......

You make it sound like we Americans are the same as the Romans on the Crusades. we are not in a quest "For the sake of the world". we are destroying enemies that could one day use their powers to become the next Hitler. the only problem is that certain countries, i won't mention any names... *cough* FRANCE *cough* Refuse to see it.
Then again France needed more facts and more information right up until the time the Nazi's marched into Paris...

Thou art a weirded person, sir.
I don't see any proof of your unfounded idea.
You share a very popular belief with people who are biased and naive about how countries and life is.
Diplomacy only works when the other country wants to be diplomatic.
