PostSun Mar 30, 2003 2:44 am    Strange unfounded ideas about America.

I have noticed most anti-war people at this board have this weird 'America is evil and trying to conquer the world' attitude.

It's totally unfounded. Do you actually think we will make Iraq our colony when we're done?! We won't.

Do you think we're out to take over any land at all? We are'nt.

Do you think we're out to put our governments in charge of other countries? We are'nt!

I don't know where these ideas come from, but we are trying to make the world safe for peace. THAT'S IT! Peace cannot be achieved until it's enemies are destroyed. That's all that America wants: PEACE, for every good person in the world.

There are no facts out there to prove otherwise in any way.

But, my friend there are no facts to back up your point either. I don't think america's like going to take over the world lol actually it's kind of funny

Actually, there are facts to back up what he's saying. Take a look around you.

How can we trust those sources? Since they're mostly american, they're backing up America arent they?

I am sure you'll find iraqi reporting much more trustworthy.

Not at all. I find any neutral nation nation's reports more trustworthy but not any of the warring nations.

Neutral reporting is something that doesn't exist these days. All reporters seem to find it neccesary to include their opinion.

There is a topic here, in WN, where you can post, or link us to publications concerning the war. From your own individual countries...... legitimate media sources, not stuff like the Enquirer. Yet none of you have done that. Why?

Most American news sources go anti America as much as they can... They would'nt to jack squat to help America.

What I posted above is fact!

You say you want a third party, there is none. Because of the fact that you are with us or against us! Who do you trust? France, a country who currently has trade links with Iraq? Germany, who's in a similar prediciment? Russia? Who's selling weapons to Iraq?

American news sources don't lie about war. Our government does'nt own the stations, in fact many of the stations dislike our govenment, and voice it.

That's true... and as much as I'd like to get out of Europe, I can't afford it (saving up for a trip to America, though... not sure where to visit!)

Geez...try visiting Washington DC if you like architecture, and NYC for culture, and...ooo...Boston Mass has some cool stuff (Science Museum and Museum of Fine Arts)...beyond that I don't know: I haven't ever left the East Coast! I've stayed pretty much in one time zone, except for one trip in the Carribean.
