If riker was left as captain?

What if captain picard had never been saved from the borg collective and Riker was left in command what do you think would of happened?

I think with picard with them the borg would have become all powerfull and riker would find it hard to be first in command!

Number One becomes #1... Lets just say they survived the Borg attack (I mean c'mon, they wouldn't end the series with the end of the Picard), Mr William would've done well. Data or Worf would've probably become first in command, he'd become the first Captain in a while known for womanizing (and they'd probably all pay for it now and again), there would be a party every Friday... I think he'd do okay!

The Enterprise would get beat up a hell of a lot more often, cuz he would be shooting more people than Picard would.

If Riker was Captain i think he wold be good, But not as good as Picard (he's my all time fave captain)

Most firsts officers do get to be "Substitute captain" when the captain is away. I think being 1st officer proves that you already can make captain. Like Vice Principle

the federation probably would have taken over by the borg because captain picard told them how to put the cub to sleep thus destroying any thret the borg once posesed

I think if Riker was left Captain the Enterprise would be fine with out Picard but it would suck if Picard was not saved

Well if Riker was leaft in command I think the ship would turn out just as great has it is now because Riker as learned alot for Pichard so the ship would be in great hands.

Riker would make an interesting Captain for the Enterprise. He would be a good captain but the ship and even he would always have the feeling that he was only second best.
