Ok in TNG, the hand phoser and phoser rifle looks the same except the rifle is bigger. Whats the deference?? (Other than the rifle is heaveyer)

The phaser rifle from TNG has 16 beam settings, multiple target aquisition, gyro-stablilizing, and a larger power pack supply.

Theres also 2 different phaser rifles. The normal one and the compression rifle. But both are much more powerful than a hand phaser  Go to http://ditl.org/weaponry/datphaser.htm for more info on phasers.

write on i h8 when ppl spell tings wong lol no im just playing phaser type 3 witch is the rifle is the better of the 2 but more bulky then needed i would carry the phaser type 1 or 2 but the best is the phaser type 12 and the pulse phaser cannon
