PostSun Mar 16, 2003 1:15 pm    Don't forget to watch Children of Dune!

Part 1 of Children of Dune is on Scifi today at 9pm, 11pm, and 1am.

Before that, the entire Dune miniseries starts at 3pm.

Last week I knew nothing of Dune----but after reading Dune this past week, I'm definately going to check this out.

The Dune miniseries is pretty good so far----a remarkably faithful adaptation.

It looks pretty interesting. Unfortunately, in order to pay my full school bill, I let the satellite slide, and they shut it off, ah well.

Yeah. It's great. The children of dune looks really interesting. Counting Down the time for it to start.

Hmmm....in the book Dune, Princess Irulan didn't show up until the end. That's the first major difference from the book I've seen.

I suppose I understand it, though. The dinner scene, as written, wouldn't have translated terribly well-----and besides, cinematically it makes sense to avoid bringing in new characters at the end.

Part 1 was just so-so, but part 2 was very entertaining.

I was on spring break in the Keys...and they didn't get the sci-fi channel. I was soooo pissed and I complained for a couple of hours. Then I resolved that I would watch the re-runs this sunday

Hope it's good.
