Has anyone been to see "Tea at Five" with Kate Mulgrew? I desperately want to see it: it's opening in NY off-Broadway on March ninth, and if I order them now I can get incredible seats at one of the shows. I desperately want to see it!!! Ahh!! Well so has anyone been to see it yet?

It's Kate Mulgrew's one woman Katharine Hepburn. The first act takes place when Ms. Hepburn is 31 and has just been labeled "box-office poison." The audience are her guests at tea, and she's tell them about her life. The second act takes place in 1980-something, when she's 76 and has just survived a terrible accident which gives her a chance to reflect on some of the events of her life. It's playing in NYC at the Promenade Theatre: Tele-charge has tickets (www.tele-charge.com) and the official website has some stuff: www.teaatfive.com. There are also several "Kate" websites with info an interviews concerning the show: Gorgeous Kate has some stuff, as does Totally Kate (Kate Mulgrew's official site: I believe she runs it). Have fun hunting!

I'm soooo friggin excited!! Every time I watch Voyager I'm like I'M GOING TO SEE HER!!! LIVE!!! And what's really great is that I'm wearing a suit that looks sooo much like the one that she wears in the play! The NYC show website is www.teaat5.com: the white suit she's wearing is very similar to mine: I think I have a blue blouse too.

I haven't been yet: next Saturday. I'm so excited. I heard Kate was incredible as Katharine Hepburn but that the script itself wasn't fabulous, so we'll see. I love both Kate and Kathy (as Katharine Hepburn was called ) so it should be a lot of fun.

OMG!!! KATE MULGREW IS INCREDIBLE!!! I just returned from NYC: I saw "Tea at Five" yesterday afternoon. It was AMAZING!! God I was sooooo happy! I was wearing the same suit she wears in the first act and I felt all special. But the play was amazing. Kate's performance was riveting. The script could have been better (maybe even more true to Katharine Hepburn), but Kate worked with it so well that you really didn't even notice. Oooooh I am still buzzing!! It was amazing: if you can, make plans to go see it.
