have you ever asked some one if they like star trek, and then they say no but then they say that they like star wars. if you think about it, the two realy have nothing in common, i mean the oonly things that they have in common is the word "star" in both of the titles. oh ya and the fact that they are both taking place in space.

Star Wars has more exciting books, but Star Trek has deeper books.

Indeed they have not much in common but they are both Sci-Fi. Starwars is 6 films (plus the 3 never to be made films so 9), Startrek is 5 Series each with 7 seasons (If enterprise completes 7 seasons) and 10 Startrek films. I think Starwars was revolutionary at the time and it is only a one hit wonder but im not saying starwars is "crap". Im just saying Startrek goes deeper.

I also like both, but Star wars imho is a lot more action-based,for the regular crowd,ST is a lot more deeper, with moral lessons etc.So i guess i prefer ST to star wars......
speaking of the eternal struggle, who would win ?
Best uniforms = Well on SW their civilian clothes look a damn lot better, but no one can beat any ST orginization uniform, teh kickass!Sorry Empire, but those stormtrooper uniforms could have been better
Best weaponry = well......im still thinking about this one.The empire has those neat star destroyers and death stars ......would one of them last against a Borg cube...hmmm....and lightsabers are damn cool, but so are phaser rifles..........
Diversity of races = another one im thinking of.You see a heck of a lot more races on ST,but most of them are humanoid.(handily explained in TNG`s "the chase" ) in SW you see stuff like gungans and wookies and ewoks and that...thing Jabba is (cant remember) etc.So less types of alien yet their more...alien.

Jabba is a Hutt...lol.
Lightsaber's are a lot better than blaster rifles...no competition.
And I would like to state an obvious fact... SW has much better villians than ST. ((Unless you count the Borg...cause they're right up there with Darth...almost))

^Actually, I'd argue that the Yuuzhan Vong are better villians than the Borg right now. The Borg were great when they were new, but we've seen them a few too many times, I think.

Yea...the Vong...I wasn't thinking out of the movies into EU. blast.
Which brings up the question...Vong vs. Borg. Who would win? I mean it would be one hell of a fight.
