What do you think? Reza came up with the line as an official sig at the TrekBBS to put a little pressure on the Voyager fans, who were getting a little uppity at the time.
He said he would send a petition to Paramount for a DS9 movie, signed with "Niners aren't linear; we're everywhere".
So what does the phrase mean to you, a Niner?

It means I've spent too much time at TrekBBS and am sick to death of that phrase......

ROFL^
It looks like someone spent all their time thinking up an un-witty and non-catchy phrase

DS9 fans are not everywhere. It is not, as all of us who know how good the show was, an easy task to convince the more narrow minded Trek followers of DS9's merit. I don't care about uncatchy phrases or anything like that, my only focus on this site and whenever I come across a Trek fan is to try and get the word out about DS9. The more and more we discuss the series here, and as I rewatch the series from my tapes and soon DVD's, it becomes more and more apparrent to me how much different DS9 really is from ALL other Trek. This is not to make a jugement on validity or importance as it relates to comparing each series, but to show that DS9 covered ground we have never covered as a franchise. As ENT continues to move along as VGR in the 22nd century, DS9's originallity becomes both more evident and respected. Or at least I think so.
DS9 fans are linear, so tell those you know who may be Trek fans but not DS9 fans what you think, because DS9 deserves to be remembered.

^See, I'm the same way. I don't focus on DS9, though----there are plenty of others to do that. I try to convince everyone I meet to (a) watch Babylon 5, and (b) read Sluggy Freelance.
In fact, at times I'm downright obsessive about it.

If you think Reza's sig is uncatchy then maybe you need to reevaluate your degree of being a Niner and a Trek fan in general.

^Are you serious? Personal opinion about a made up catch phrase by someone who had nothing to do with the show affects how big a fan a person is of that show?

Reza's got some kind of cult of personality thing going. Without it, I doubt there would be quite so much support of his phrase.
The only time I've found him funny was in that TrekTonight episode.

TreksTonight are always great.
As for Reza's personality cult (channeling The Facer?), it's worth about as much as his opinions of Iran.

Deep Space Nine had a great chance to explore their characters at a better level than most other trek shows, and for once they actually took that chance. Also Deep Space nine tied all the seasons together and never egleted to mention past episodes that helped tie the entire series into one "Big" episode. Not only did it serve to tie itself together but it tied all the series' together from TOS, TNG. and VOY all had some tie in with Deep Space Nine. Deep Space Nine ia among my favorite Trek's so I am proud to be a niner.
Oh Red Quacker if ENTERPRISE took a hint from DS9 I think that it would be so much better.
