The quantum torpedo launcher is basically a modified photon torpedo launcher. The photon torpedo uses a simple energy pulse to arm itself as it exits the launcher, while the quantum torp has a crystal inside which makes the thing go boom-boom. The crystal requires a precise resonance pulse to begin the quantum reaction, and normal torp launchers cant do this. Quantum torps travel at the same speed though, and are the same size.

PostSat Mar 15, 2003 3:06 pm    transphasics are the best above all!!

transphasics are the best in terms of yield, destructive ability, self guided and nevertheless,is in fact a weapon from the 29th century.second to follow is the croniton torpedoes since theyre highly effective against any shielding.its under temporal flux which makes it impossible to match frequencies or reverse polarities on deflectors and shields.as Lt.Paris use to say;Theyre firing at us like sitting ducks!

There all rubbish. I have just invented a Multi Phasic-Chronoton torpedo. Basically it exists in a number of phases/time periods simultaniously so will always get through and detonate inside an object!
HAHA I WIN!!
