What do you think would help turn the show around? Please don't mention taking it off-air or getting rid of people, I'm talking episode changes and focuses.
I think the characters could use some work. Not that they don't have potential, but it would be better to go more in-depth....

I agree. T'Pol seems to have had alot of story lines compared to Trip or Reed. I think they should include Travis more coz we hardley ever see him

Personally, I'd like to see more stories about the internal Federation struggle, something away from the traditional 'Captain's Log; I've found yet another new life form...' Its old. I wanna see the Federation beat it self up with political unrest and problems with other species that are already catalogued.

^No, but the idea is good.
We need to know a few things about Earth politics of the day. How are the taxpayers reacting to their money being spent on the NX-01? Is there a faction against exploration? How about radical anti-Vulcan groups?
However, that won't happen. Aside from DS9, Trek has never handled those sorts of questions very well.

That's something that I was debating; at this point at least, Starfleet in its infancy.

Hmm... Yes, DS9 has so far been our best look into future politics.

Battle always works, unless its with the VGR Borg.
I like what we are seeing over the last 4 new eps, even Canamar wasn't bad. For me, its just a matter of time until the show comes into its own, much in the same way TNG and DS9 did, and VGR to a certain extent. The crew must become more identifiable to us all, and although we have a good idea about Trip, Reed, and even T'Pol, we need a lot more on Hoshi, Travis, even Phlox and especially Archer. He must be the main focus even more so than he now is. And paying more attention to the ship instead of a new, faceless race or planet every week would also help. The familiarity and in depth style that TNG and DS9 exemplified to me is something that VGR lacked, and ENT has to this point. As JFK once said:
"We can't know where we're going until we know where we've been".
Good words, and in the context of this show, I'd like to see where we are and have been a bit more than we now see. Just a suggestion.

you know how voyager bought in 7 of 9 and the ratings went through the roof i'd like it if they bought in a MALE character in a tight starfleet uniform

There's too much Archer, T'pol, and Trip camera time atm, and this is probably for good reason -- the other characters are lacking depth. Phlox has lots of promise, and I hope they delevop him more.
I also think Enterprise would benefit from a longer story arch, i.e. episodes that connect with each other more. There's 2 story archs that I know of atm, and that's the temporal cold war, and the Vulcan/Andorian thing. I want a bigger grasp of what Enterpise is all about, and not just single tng-esque episodes that don't keep my attention.
