If I really was cynical, I would have mentioned the "point" of the episode was that the Viacom bigwigs told them they had to make an episode with some reference to AIDS awareness.
But what they ended up doing was have T'Pol repeatedly say that it is wrong to tell someone if you've been raped. I'm sure that was very helpful advice!

Oh, if she got raped then let's help her but if she willing participated in it then she should be condemned.
Its like saying all black people are bad because some steal or kill.

Face it, it was bad writing.
Look at it this way:
Imagine the Vulcans feel that shoplifting is wrong. But if someone puts a gun to your head and forces you to shoplift, they'll feel sympathy for you.
They call that a double standard? I don't think so. It's more like logic.
