It's pretty cool. It's neat to see Clark Kent deal with his powers as a teen. I only watch it when I can remember to though.

It's pretty cool, I find it tends to be a little melodramatic with the relationships though. In the comics and other productions, he was a shy teen that kept to himself.

Season five of what I saw was cool, especialy the finale, I look foward to season 6.

I only got hooked two seasons ago (I watched it, and then I watched the last season). I have seen very few, if any, of the earlier episodes. I will enjoy watching this season's premiere.

My favourite parts are Clark's use of his abilities, as well as watching him discover his destiny. It makes me feel so vindicated to see the bad guys gloating, and then suddenly here comes Clark to make a fool of them! Yes! (I'm a sucker for that sort of thing.)

I find the writing is terrible, however. Just listening to the dialogue can make me wince as I hear them butcher metaphors, lace everything with cliches and analogies--it sounds like someone had an English assignment to include as many rhetorical devices as possible.... Luckily the overall plot arcs make up for the crassness of some of the individual episodes.

Indeed, however, there have been many, many decent episodes that make up for that. The 5th season finale is an example of that. What was the other ones name? The one before Clark goes looking for the watch (I didn't care for that episode, and it was after a good one to!) That episode, was quite good.

Yeah and Clark & Lex being childhood friends and all of the characters from Supermans later life being involved in his time in Smallville is just so great. And how about his father running for Governor.

It's all just so great and it fits so well with the story of Superman

Hate it. I also think the main character looks so plastic. I especally hate those Teen Soap Drama's...it was Dawson's Creek, when I was a teen.

I think it's gotten better, it's not really the "Krypto freak of the week" format anymore, theres a building storyline happening.

However...

It sucks. It makes me want to throw things at my television. It's turned from an interesting exploration of Superman's backstory into a ... a ... soap opera! The writing is terrible. The acting is abysmal. The butchering of Superman's backstory is phenomenal. I don't know where to begin.

Oh, I still watch it--mostly because it's cool to see him use his superpowers, and because I now enjoy watching what latest "clever" twist the writers introduce. But I've lost all respect, and all hope, for the series.

I used to like this show, mainly cause it was filmed in the Vancouver area, but lately it's been garbage... by lately I mean pretty much anything past the 1st season.
