Its justified in our eyes because we've been the victims. Far be it from us to want to defend ourselves from a possible attack while the world bitches about how unfair we've become.
But lets say the US reverts to an Isolationistic approach. Then the US gets bitched at for not caring/WW III occurs in which everyone gets annihilated anyways.
Does it make sense that the US has become the figurehead of the fight for peace and equality with races? Yes and moreover because we accept our faults and try, at least within our rights, to find ways to adapt to the ever changing enviornment and cultural landscape, it only makes sense that the most diversified nation take the lead.
But what doesn't make sense is that while we're letting countries free load off of us with economic aid and a means in which they can arm themselves, we're called the bad guys because we want to protect our interests.
*beep* that.

I agree with Mr.Blair a diplomatic solution would be great BUT I agree with the americans for wanting to fight but personaly I don't want britain involved it would be world war 2 over again we'd fight us the british loose hundreds of men and then america would step in take all the credit for finishing them off even though we done all the work they'd say"our troops were not prepared fully but as soon as they were ready we ent em in and they won the war for the world when it was our A**e** that won it

Once again, Maquis74656 makes an attempt to convince us that America IS the best.

hmmm, are we all going against poor lil T again?
*addresses all the WorldNews forum visitors*
Problem here in the worldnews forum is that too many posters can't keep their emotions under control. Just a simple sum of facts should be sufficient.
Ok, I am finished.
Enough bs about Iraq, they are producing mass destruction weaponary saddam lied (didn't we see that comming?)
So do we really want a dictator like him having his hands at a little red button with his missiles pointed at the USA europe russia and China? Of course he needs more research before he is capable of such an act.
In an environment where we are lurking for stabbility we can't have rats.
But of course when saddams little army runs out over europe (why protect our borders or keep an army?) and starts killing the infidel then we'd be chirping differently. (america please help us!!!)
Or sarcasm drooled of me there, but you catch my drift

yea, we should leave saddam alone, he hasnt killed anyone in the last five minuts
I have a lot of comments that i would love to make, but I would regret telling everyone what I think of them later on so I wont, but what do I know, i'm just a war mongering american.
i also find it funny that certain people hate america, but they say things that originated from the U.S. and idolize certain americans, not good americans either, the "scum of the earth" part of america, but thats just my opinion.
someone *not from here* said that the problem is only with saddam, so war would be stupid, but if you try to start something with saddam *who also happens to be the leader of a country* do you think he's going to say "ok I was wrong and i'm sry" or do you think he's going to send his army in and blow *beep* up?
at this particular moment I say "kill em all" but thats just because i'm pissed and don't care for anything or anyone.
yea, i'm gonna shut up now

"Kill em all" is a terrible solution to the conflict.

i could not agree more.
but why go to 'war'. if they kill suddam at the best oppitunity (by surprise), how many ppl would be sad to see him go.
well i know that is not going to happen but as long as he stays alive there is a problem.

I agree a peaceful would be nice,But he has left no other options for us so war is the only answer and prankishsmart is right a quick bullet to his head would be easier by FAR all we gotta do is when we come outta a chopper to meet with him shoot him and have army men jump outta the plane and secure the area I mean without suddam IRAQ would be lost nd confused and IRAQ could then go under British,American rule as a joint rule each contry would be closer allies and maybe I'd start to like the americans I'd like em alot more though if they did NOT take all the credit for world war 2 when It was our BRITISH troops who won the war so I'm proud to be British.
As our flag flys all over the world here are some picks to prove it,
That's South carolina
At Goverment House,Fiji
We are a sign of hope, peace and intellegence around the world
Were as america is a sign of hope, big heads and military conflict
((Sorry if this sounds like Im up myself its just sometimes I'm a little touchy about people saying were rubish and weak))

What you all have to understand is that both sides want to have another alternative to war. It's very easy to stand there and preach and dictate when you yourself have nothing to fear.
If the US had just wanted to go to war, for any reason, they've had plenty of opportunities. The very fact that Bush has held back has proven that that's not the case.
If you honestly think Saddam wants peace, well............... I really don't know what to say to that. The Iraqi people most likely probably want peace, but a tyrannical dictator?
If I had to base an opinion provided on most of the information given here, I'd think that Saddam was some peace loving benefactor, who'd never done anything, nothing like mow down his own people in cold blood, steal their food, etc.... And that Bush had killed his own, and taken power through some sort of coup.
Even the anti-war protesters are not saying that war is never an option, just a last option.
Try diplomacy, talk to the man. Ummm, what do you think all of the delegations have been doing? And we are not talking only US delegations, UN as well. If the man doesn't want to deal, no deal will be made.
So, for all of the 'war mongering' BS, . Get a clue.
And, excuse me, in American history, we are not taught that we won WWII. We are taught that we held out as long as possible, and supplied men and equipment until the United States officially declared war. So if you are having an inferiority issue, deal with it. No one, or at least no one here ever said the US saved the day in WWII. But you can bet your ass I'll say that w/out us, you'd have had one hell of a much longer war, and the face of Europe would be quite different.
And Captain Dappet seems to be upset that I have national pride. That is something I will not apologize for, and feel sorry for you if you do not. I am not saying that America is perfect, and never will, but there is no place I'd rather live.

I know killing them all wouldnt be the best way, but I really dont care anymore lol.
I dont think that it was just america that won world war two, there are these things called ALIES, they join together and fight for what they belive in, and last time I knew, the U.S. and britten were alies, so get your head out of your @ss and realize that we worked together to fight the axis powers, and it wasnt just one country doing all of the work.
theresa's post wasnt there when I posted this, just so you know I didnt copy what she said
