Cancelling Enterprise would be a great shame, it's one of the good shows on TV right now and I could think of many programs that I'd prefer to see dumped instead of Enterprise.

Firefly was one of the best Scifi shows around! Why did they cancel it??

Space: Above and Beyond was one of the best Scifi shows around! Why did they cancel it??
The fact is, quality has very little to do with whether a show gets cancelled. If it doesn't get the numbers, it goes bye-bye. The Star Trek name has protected ENT; if it weren't ST, it would be gone by now. Even with the ST name, having the ratings drop nearly every week is going to get it canned eventually.

I think it has potential, but they need to fire their crappy writers. They aren't doing much of anything exciting, and all the exciting stuff that they DO turn out is revamped from previous series'.

It's not that great. The episodes have very little plot, there is barely any character devolpment except with the vulcan and the series is going nowhere but in circles. I mean TNG got away with it because it was where no man went before, but it's been used, new theme here. Throw ENT in the trash bin i say and get a show in the future not the past like i wanted when Voyager ended.

But it's like love or hate, now is that real or fake?
Cause it's a real thin line, but that's your choice to make.
The question at hand, help me understand, is this your plan?
I think I can, can I think, then I think I can.

When you use Voyager producers and some Voyager writers you get a show as lost and meaningless as Voyager. Too bad Paramount won't inject some DS9 production personell into this sorry series.

Who? Berman? Please. I don't mean the actors like Rene Auberjonis or Jeffery Combs either. ENT has so much blatent similiarity to VGR a blind man could see it. Week after week we are treated to shows that start and stop abruptly, plots that are unfinished, unrefinined and usually meaningless. There is little or no recurrence on the show, unless you count the Suliban who are this show's Borg or Kazon. Character development, even of the Captain and T'Pol is shallow and uninteresting. This show wanders through the same foggy wilderness that VGR got lost in. I hope it finds it's way like previous Trek shows did. But with Bragga and Berman running the show it seems as if we just got VGR in the 22nd century with this show. I haven't missed one episode of ENT so far and will watch every one until the show ends, as I did with VGR, but it would be nice to see at least a little improvement.

Voyager's characters were more interesting than ENT's, IMO.

I agree Lindley, but I think both casts are at the same point of development when both series were as young as ENT is. Only TNG seemed to get out of the gates quickly when developing the cast. We shall see if ENT improves.

I'd not heard that before (I'm in the UK as well) although that doesn't mean its not true lol. I think Enterprise is a pretty great show but I think they could improve it by doing something similar to Babylon 5 (Oh no here I go again ) by using story arcs that strech over a couple of seasons. I know the temporal cold war is there as an arc but there has not been much emphasis placed on it so far...the arcs in B5 streched over 5 years and I think that is what made that show so great ...in my opinion.....oooo yes and B5 season 2 dvds can now be pre ordered from www.amazon.com or www.play.com if ur in the UK woohoo!

On that note, the cheapest site for Region 1 B5 DVDs is www.northamericandvd.com .
