Hey. It's getting close to Christmas and I was wondering-for a Star Trek fan who likes to read, do you think that Enterprise: By the Book would make a good gift?

It would still make a good birthday present for someone. I got "What Price Honor?" and "The Nanotech War". I really wanted these, my brother got them from Chester so I'm really pleased!

I've seen a review, looks good. Apparently it shows the route of the Enterprise NX-01.

My friend got the starcharts and he said they were pretty good and yes they do show the NX-01s route although I do not know how far into the series they extend.

Wow, your brother travelled all the way to England to get your present? I'm impressed!

A bit like my going to Liverpool to get all my prezzies... there were no Star Trek ones, although the Physics of Star Trek (finished, finally... wish I'd not misplaced it!) was a great book!

Well he was going to Chester with his friend and he got them while he was there. He didn't go especially for them.

I havn't actually seen What Price Honor or The Nanotech War yet in the shops, the only reason i have them is cos I won em off of ebay a couple of weeks back. Does anybody know if there are any decent science fiction shops in "east riding of yorkshire" UK? There's a good one in Meadowhall, Sheffield but there aren't any near me (I live near Hull) and so it is very difficult to buy any kind of Trek stuff (other than books).

My Dad lives near Hull. I don't know about any shops but if you have like an indoor market, you might try there. There's a shop in the one here which has some Trek stuff. It has some books, a few videos, a few figures, ships, keyrings, etc.

Eh...the book was Ok. Unless your friend is a big Reed fan, you can do better. Something like the re-released Lives of Dax, or maybe A Stich In Time.
