|
Hey Trekkers!
I'm sorry but Rick Berman and Brannon Braga have really done it this time! How much more Enterprise series can there be? I think it's time for Berman and Braga to move on. I mean with the new technology to have awesome digital effects, I think they should have done something more better like the latest star ship, no they go back even earlier to the old technology.
Enterprise is just a real disgrace to the Star Trek world. And I am 1000000% sure that there will not be a movie for Enterprise. I'm not even sure if they will make it to 7 seasons.
And the Theme, oh it's just terrible. I mean the amazing themes of TNG and Voyager are beatiful! They represent the true spirit if Trekking! But no they had to go with singing.
Braga and Berman should pull the plug on Enterprise, or lay it to rest! Because how many more Enterprises can you have? It's time to move on! And stick with Jerry Goldsmith, John Williams and other great composers for great themes!

I like that you are expressing your opinon of Enterprise.. I used to not really like it, and several of my friends don't like it, however I got back into it and gived it another chance, I believe it isn't so bad anymore, its great they have a new theme, more with the new 21st century. Even though they should use this chance with their better effects to create a cool startrek series based on the future of voyager and the 24th century, however how after going in the future too much, it starts geting boring because if they improve their ships, they won't have such big chanellages as they did in the past.
I think it is new thinking, and it follows the idea of the time, look at starwars, they are doing epsodes of the past.

Bigger and better ships comes bigger and better challenges, such as controlled time travel should be possible in the federations near future. Roman has a point there, they are screwing the show. look the ratings for the show, and then look at the low money Nemesis brought in. Even though Breman has a 5 year contract they should fire him (there is always this kind of loop holes in a contract). Of course ENT has potiental, just not with those two.

But it's like love or hate, now is that real or fake?
Cause it's a real thin line, but that's your choice to make.
The question at hand, help me understand, is this your plan?
I think I can, can I think, then I think I can.

Well, I must speak up for Enterprise. There are alot of people on the Star Trek.com forums that keep saying this same kind of thing and frankly I just don"t get it. I have been a Star Trek fan from the very beginning and I happen to think that Berman and Braga are doing just fine. I am so glad that there are new trek stories being told and they don"t all have to be perfect, there were alot of not so outstanding shows in all the series. I really like Enterprise, and think it is every bit as good as any of the series.Oh yeah, and the theme song didn't thrill me at first either but it kind of grows on you and now I sing along every time.

That would be cool, it could fall into the teen schooling, but future theme.

I agree, maybe they should. However I seen other Sci. Fi shows do that, but they never last very long.

Well, Enterprise has certainly been delightful to say the least. Its not as up to par as TNG or DS9 but you gotta give it credit where its due. As for whether or not it sucks or whatever, I suppose opinion revolves around everything as I don't really like Voyager. (Did I say that out loud???)
As far as new shows are concerned, I don't think its a good idea to run two shows parallel each other. I think DS9 was still running while Voyager took off, but I can't be sure because it was such a long time ago, but I know TNG was on its semi or final season when DS9 came on. Running two shows at once kind of defeats the purpose of full audience and ratings. But that's just me I suppose.
If it goes, I'll be sorry to see it go. I actually like the show but man, Captain Archer is very static in his character. He needs some... diversity or something. And maybe some unexpected things too.

Enterprise is lame... The ship looks like a piece of crap, and I can't stand the doctor. What an idiot. The captain is a fruitcake who doesn't know what the hell he is doing.
Berman and Braga did a great job running TNG, DS9, and Voyager, but now they have just lost their minds...
And whats with the stories! They are turning the Vulcans into idiots! Aren't Vulcans the most logical?
If there's another movie coming out, it's definitely Voyager!

by process of elimination its going to be a Voyager movie
1. Next Gen cast are pretty much finished, Nemesis never done as well as they were expecting
2. Sisko can't come back, so not really a chance of a DS9 movie
3. Enterprise is too new and hasn't got the money making potential or fan base as the other series.
so roll on a Voyager movie !

^What would be the point? voyager is home, the crew has new asignments. Janeway is an admiral, etc. etc.
The founding of the federation with ENT wouldn't make that bad of a movie.

what they could do....
Have a Parallel trek sereis that takes place in the 30th century or something, and occasionaly have a "Joint Show" where the two cooperate in the same story. One day we see the "Enterprise" POV and the next the other. That would be cool.

Now that the Federation is 8000 ly wide, maybe they need a HUGE galactic war. I could write a whole *beep* load of episodes involving one war in one year.

Los you are hilarious!!! And absolutely true! It's time for Rick Berman to call it quits! I have no problem with Brannon Braga, he is a very good writer, but he just blew it on Enterprise. The point of Star Trek is to look into the future not back to old times!
Thats like Microsoft making an OS like Windows 3.1, it's pretty stupid. Berman should call it quits, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Well, in due jest, I would say in order for anything to move forward, you need a set established group of ideas or beliefs set in stone. I do like Enterprise. From top to end I think its a brilliant idea and story. Don't get me wrong, I wish some episodes were better but hey, not everyone shares the same beliefs.
What I really do want to see is some amazing character development. Each of the characters bring something unique to the crew, like TNG, DS9, etc. But in each case, their characters were pretty well rounded with one or two flaws which were flaunted ruthlessly in one or two episodes. I want to see Archer and the gang fall flat on their faces because of their humanity. I want to see the series become alive with situations that have no real ending or reasonable explanation. I'm tired of seeing episodes being resolved by some very minute luck. MAKE THEM SUFFER!!!
But really, I think the Federation post 2375 should be in a full fledged intergalactic war with someone. I mean damn, I'm tired of peace already!

Me too! Screw the federation! Lets have a war!!! Enough with the peace already!!! I want to see awesome ships in battle!!!
What I want to see, is a Federation ship assimilated! We only hear of past ships assimilated! I want to see an actual, Sovereign class ship assimilated! More action!!! I agree with Los, Berman and Bragga!!! TAKE THOSE LAST MINUTE SURVIVAL STORIES AND SHOVE THEM UP THE BORGS ASS!!!
What disgusts me alot about Enterprise, is the IDIOTIC, STUPID theme of the beginning! I can't stand it!!! Star Trek should always stick to a classic theme, no they put some moron singing on the theme.
