There's nothing wrong with my Trekkie spirit. I haven't seen the movie yet; I was just stating that I do have some concerns about it. I'm mainly worried about the director. I've seen some very good reviews, but I've also seen some not-so-good ones. Of course, my opinions don't usually match up with the critics for some reason, so we shall see.

but what ..........
what i think really makes nemesis the film it is , is the superb actors and the cast and crew which have stuck with the nxt gen in the last couple of years and plus marina sirtis , patrick stewart and tom hardy really shine i mentioned the cause the british and i think they r really cool.

Saw it and hated it. For the last movie of TNG I expected at least a ST6 quality. Well guess what, it had a cloaked ship too......

That is about all.

There were too many mistakes in the movie. One that irritated me most afterwards, T will concur, was that warbird reversing out of the enterprise after the enterprise rammed her. Whilst the enterprise E with the engines down, remained unmovable.............some physics there

It's not a trekkie oriented movie, it is an insult to the intelligence of most trekkies. Since trekkies are known to be well educated in physics and maths.

And wow, Troy only saw her capabillities at the end of the movie...... she could have thought of it sooner. A highly anticipated movie with a typical hollywood influence and a high entertainment value. That's all I can say. Just as entertaining as Turbulence was to the pilots when the 747 flew upside down and a stewardess landed her.

Wow, did I reveal the story or what? Anyway, where else can the people that saw it discuss it then?

I was blown away.

My dad and I were taking bets on who was the 'important character that goes away'. I said Riker, he said La Forge.

Data was a shocker.

Should've taken out the stupid one man.

PostFri Dec 27, 2002 10:24 am    I liked it!

I like Nemesis! I agree the science was a little....squishy. And there were a couple of emotional scenes that they could ahve done more with. But otherwise I thought it was a very well thought out movie. When you look at any TNG episode/movie you have to not only look at the science, but also at the philosophical and even political metaphors behind the events of the movie. So while the science remains questionable, the philosophical implications of many of the things that happen are very current and interesting. THAT was one of the things about Nemesis that I found fascinating.

I finally saw it last night with my mom. We both agreed that it was good, but that First Contact was the best TNG movie. There cut some more scenes out though, I think. There were things in the trailer that I don't remember seeing in the movie.

Just seen it here in the Uk, I have to say that it was excellent the acting is great and the fight scenes at the end were amazing, love the new warbirds etc, and I was totally gutted when Data died, very sad indeed, but all in all a great film, good story great action !

ps,
