Oh the borg vs. federation, wouldn't really be a fair fight unless the federation allied with every species in the Alpha quadrant

But it's like love or hate, now is that real or fake?
Cause it's a real thin line, but that's your choice to make.
The question at hand, help me understand, is this your plan?
I think I can, can I think, then I think I can.

Not necessarily--depends on how many of the Borg. Voyager defeated them quite a few Borg cubes, without any other Federation help...

Yah, but they always had some kind of tactical advantage over the borg. Now would be cool is a three way war between the Borg, Species 8472,and the Federation.

That would be cool, definitely--but weren't the Borg and Species 8472 actually alies at one point in time?

^No, that was Janeway and the Borg. The borg even went so far as to design a whole new cube just to combat species 8472.

I'd like to see another series set in the late 24th century or even in the early 25th century. A series set on Earth would definitely be an interesting idea. There could be storylines that involve several ships around the Sol Sector and possibly a threat from the Romulans.

It would be interesting to have one based on a Civil War that focused on ground combat and less of the ship....this could be a challenge...I wonder if they'd take me up on it

ya that would be kool to have a series that wasn't based on a paticular ship but on something happening in the federation or on earth. i think it sould take place in the 24 century or later though cuz enterprise and tos i think are sort of boring.

Methinks what would be cool is a new Enterprise, a new crew, exploring the Gamma Quadrant.
BTW, does anyone know where I can access a star map listing every major Federation colony, base, planet with concurrent Romulan, Cardassian, Klingon, and every other major empire border?

Fri Dec 27, 2002 12:04 am new series already in work... |
|
From what it looks like, a new series has already been conceived in the minds of some amatuers on the Starship Exeter. It's in TOS spirit, and very well done. I've read about it in the media, (that's how I found it...) who are quickly noticing this up-and-coming team of 2 brothers who aren't professional, but obviously have what it takes to make it big, if anyone in Hollywood is smart enough to take notice. I've seen other series, and fan films online, but nothing is as serious as this one. They've obviously spent lots of time and money making a movie/episode? to be proud of! Gotta see it to believe it.

I also read that Eugene Roddenberry (TOS creator's son, now involved in Enterprise show?) has written to them, asking to be a part of their production, even asking it to be titled with his name on it. Sources say Michael Wakuda (Current Enterprise Scriptwriter) turned him onto it. So sounds like some folks at Paramount are already fans...
Quite exciting guys!

^If i'm not mistaken Gene Roddenbery died...and if not i don't see a reason for him to help. He should be retired after creating Star Trek, Andromeda, and Earth: The Final conflict.

You've misread. I was talking about Eugene Rodenberry, that is the Creator (Gene)'s son. And in Star Trek circles, you'll know that he is very active in Paramount, and in the current Star Trek Enterprise series.
Live long and prosper.
