Sun Dec 08, 2002 1:03 pm Ye Olde Star trek aliens you want to see in enterprise |
|
Which Star trek aliens that have kept a low profile through-out trek history would you like to see?
Well I have always been a fan of the andorians and we saw them, but I'd also like to see Tholians,Gorn,Tellarites,Mugatos,Bolians and emm the Trills in more depth

Excellent topic!
The recent aliens Firek Plinn and Firek Goff in _Precious Cargo_ are a good baseline for modern Tellarites. Add a bit more deepset eyes (all-black lenses of course), and a bit more hair and appropriate ears, and we're there. Heck, if they'd called the two of them Tellarites, I don't think anyone would have hue and cried too much.
CGI would allow the insertion of Edoans (the TAS race Lt Arex belonged to), alternatively called Saurians. I'd love to see Lt. Reed fall in love with Saurian Brandy. It would make sense for him to imbibe such liquor, compared to Trip's moonshine. (erm, or starshine?)
The Caitians from TAS (Lt M'Ress, etc.) appeared in a couple of the films, it would be great to have them around. Also, their felinoid relatives, the K'zin. Enterprise sorely needs something like the Kzin, and at Niven's age, would he object to again linking up with Trek? I'd think not. It would bring a lot of people over to read his novels.... Frankly, conflict with the felinoid races would help build a lot of backstory.
I'd like the weird CGI aliens from Silent Enemy and also the ship-borers of Fight or Flight or Fright or... to turn out to be Tholians. The Tholians absolutely have the potential to be the X-files-creepy aliens that a Shiban would want to have around.
Unfortunately Betazed is now placed some distance from Earth and can't be Alpha Centauri... but the Deltans sure could be! I've always thought that one approach would be that the system had a couple M-class worlds all seeded (by the Preservers) with Earth humans thru the millenia, each with "tweaks". The fourth planet, Delta, could house the Deltans. Alas, the second planet, Beta, can no longer have the Betazoids. Perhaps there are other alternatives. I'd like to see the "Little Copper Dudes" turn out to be from Alpha Centauri. Maybe from the innermost Class M planet.
Gorn simply can't appear. I'll bite that Ferengi turned up in ENT's time, but not Gorn. Also, no First Federation either.
However, the lights of Zetar could float around (and sounds like they're in ENT's upcoming The Crossing... or something similar).
Bolians would be reasonable to have around and about. But frankly, I'd also like to see ENT's Tandarans turn up a *lot* from here on out. They look human enough, that we can assume they were around in TOS all the time in the background.

the tholians have only appeared in an original series episode they looked kind of non-coporeal and hopefully due to the bad graphics back then ,they look different.
