Tom was still quite upset about finding out about Kathryn and Chakotay last, and when the doors to his and B'Elanna's quarters opened he quickly took a seat on the couch and fumed.

'How could I have been so bilnd? Have I really lost my romantic touch? I have to make a point of my knowing, so I'll do what Tom Paris does best, start a gambling pool.' He thought to himself, as B'Elanna entered the room.

"Hello B'Elanna, and how are we doing?" He asked, as she sat beside him.

"Your daughter decided it was best to give mommy a boot, when she was complaining to an Ensign about his report." She explained.

"She's going to be just like you." He honestly meant that as a compliment.

"And just what is that supposed to mean?" She snapped, and boy could you see the fire in her eyes!

"Not an insult, I just meant that she doesn't like to hear people getting into trouble!" Tom snapped back.

"That's it?" She asked, calming down.

"Yes, and you know I didn't make reference to your Klingon half when I said that. I just meant to say that she is going to get pleasure out of peace." Tom explained.

B'Elanna leaned over and kissed him on the lips.

"Thanks Tom, you never fail to amaze me, you know that?"

"How about we head down to the Holodeck and shoot some pool, we haven't done that in a while." He suggested, and they left their quarters.

Meanwhile in Kathryn's Bathtub.............(No, Chakotay's not there. ...yet)..

Kathryn soaked in her tub, reading Tuvok's weekly security report, when her doorbell rang.

"I'm in the tub!" She yelled, and in walked Chakotay.

"Oh...Kathryn I didn't mean to interrupt, I know how much you love a nice, hot, quiet bath, overflowing with bubbles and exuberance." He apologized.

"Chakotay, when in that sentence did you stop talking about the bath?"

"So...How's the security report coming?" He asked, sitting on the edge of the tub.

"Just finished. Just out of interest, why are you in my bathroom?"

"Oh my. If you want me to leave I can. I just wanted to know if you were doing alright, after what happened in sickbay...the mess hall...last night, which I found to be excellent...and...and if you want..." Chakotay rambled.

"Chakotay, do me a favor," Kathryn said, cutting Chakotay off.

"Yes Kathryn?" He asked.

"Shut up and kiss me, or just shut up." She replied.

"Well then, you leave me with one option."

"And what would that be?" Kathryn asked, inching towards Chakotay.

When Chakotay leaned over to kiss Kathryn his hand that was supporting slipped, and he struck his head on the edge of the tub. Kathryn immediatly saw red, and did something she hadn't done in a VERY long time. She fainted.

Meanwhile on the bridge..........

Tuvok stood at his post, and when his shift was over he headed towards the turbolift. Then he was hit with a sudden urge to speak to Kathryn, and he couldn't explain it. He ran at full speed until he reached her quarter's door. When he didn't here a familiar 'Come in' he got worried. He put in his security code and entered her quarters.

What will Tuvok Find? How will he react?

Tuvok looked around, and was about to leave when something caught his eye. It was a leg, a man's leg, and it wasn't moving. He rushed into the bathroom, and what he saw shocked even him. He saw Chakotay on the floor, a pool of blood around his head. He also saw Kathryn, stark naked, sprawled out on the floor next to him. Tuvok noticed that Kathryn had no injuries, and he tapped his combadge.

"Lt. Tuvok to transporter room one, beam Commander Chakotay directly to sickbay." He ordered, tapping his combadge again.

"Lt. Tuvok to the Doctor, I am beaming Commander Chakotay to you for immediate medical attention." He said.

He watched as Chakotay de-materialized. Tuvok then picked up Kathryn and placed her on her bed, throwing the blankets over her untill you could only see her head. She slowly stirred, and opened her eyes, seeing Tuvok looking over her.

"What happened?" She asked, trying to remember.

"I think that while Commnder Chakotay was in your bathroom he slipped and hit his head, I also think that you fainted at the sight of his blood." He expalined.

"Is he alright? I mean, is he going to live?" Kathryn asked, about to sit up when she realized she was butt naked.

"I have not yet visited sickbay, and I must leave to go check on his condition." He replied, heading for the door.

"Tuvok." Kathryn called.

"Yes Captain?" He asked, facing her.

"How did you know what happened?" She asked.

"I didn't. I felt an uncontrolable urge to speak with you, and was worried when you didn't respond."

"Sounds like you just had your first hunch." Kathryn replied, and Tuvok left her quarters.

Kathryn quickly dressed herself, and headed for sickbay.

What awaits Kathryn in sickbay? The man she loves waiting for that kiss ? A dead body waiting for a grave ? Or a man waiting for sanity once more ? These questions answered and more next post.

Numerous thoughts and emotions crossed her mind, but the most was guilt, she felt responsible for his injury.

'What have I done? If anything happens to Chakotay I know it's my fault. He only wanted a kiss, and know look what happened. I fainted at the sight of a little blood, I don't deserve him.' She thought, as she entered Sickbay.

Kathryn almost fainted again at what she saw, Chakotay was in the corner of the Surgical Bay, hugging his knees.

"Doctor, what happened to him?" Kathryn asked, nearing Chakotay.

"He suffered severe nural trama, his cerebral has swelled severly, and he seems to be suffering from some sort of amnesia." The Doctor explained.

"Is it reversable? Or at least temporary?" Kathryn asked, a knot forming in her throat.

"I do believe it's only tempoary, but most cases like Commander Chakotay's can last anywhere from a month to sixty years."

Kathryn could feel tears burning her eyes, and her shoulders slumped. She brought her hand to her forehead, and thought a moment.

"Can I speak with him Doctor?" Kathryn asked, looking towards Chakotay who was muttering something under his breath.

"You can try Captain, so far his irractic behavior has not been violent."

Kathryn neared Chakotay, and he stood up. They're was some sort of look of understanding in his eyes.

"Oh thank God you've come Kathryn, I never needed you more." He said, stepping closer to her.

"Who am I?" Kathryn asked.

"That's easy, your Kathryn Janeway, and I love you." He replied.

"Who are you?"

"I am Chakotay, my father and I are one of few Native Americans left."

"Good, good. Where are we?" Kathryn asked, and the response she got floored her.

"We have been taken from our home and we are prisoners to that man, and a Vulcan." Chakotay explained.

"No my Chakotay, I am the Captain of this vessel, Voyager remember? You are it's first officer." Explained Kathryn.

Will Kathryn be able to restore Chakotay's memory? Soon to come: Alternate ending to this spectacular series.

Three hours later in the Briefing room...

"What's going to happen to Chakotay?" B'Elanna asked, her eyes glassy.

"The Doctor thinks he may get his memory back." Kathryn explained.

"What can we do to help?" Harry asked.

"Treat him with understanding and let his memories resurface." Kathryn replied.

"You want us to sugercoat this whole situation, and hope that he miracously gets better." Harry mutterd, and everybody heard.

There was an errie moment of silent tension between them.

"No Mr. Kim, we want to help him. I for one do not want to see him in the state of mind he's in. Do you actually think I don't care?" Kathryn asked, sounding harsh.

"Captain, I didn't mean what I said. It's just that not having Commander Chakotay sane...is like having a ham sandwich without the ham." Harry apologized.

"It's alright Harry, all of our nerves are on end." Kathryn replied.

"What if we forced his memeries to surface? Get inside Chakotay's head." Tom said, staring at the table intently.

"Care to elaborate Tom?" Kathryn asked.

"Huh?" Tom replied.

"You just gave us a suggestion, how do you propose we go about doing it?"
Kathryn reminded Tom.

"Lt. Paris may be on to something. I think that if a perform a high risk mind-meld I could get somone else's mind into Commander Chakotay's. The person who is part of the mind-meld will have to have a very strong connection with Commander Chakotay." Tuvok explained.

Kathryn looked out the window behind her, and everybody stared at her. She slowly turned around, and saw all eyes on her.

"Me?" Kathryn asked.

"You are his close personal friend Captain." Tom replied, and grimaced in pain when B'Elanna gave him a kick in the shin.

"I suppose I could, would I work Tuvok?" Kathryn asked, turning all shades of red.

"Yes, you would have been my recomandation."Tuvok replied.

"I'll inform you on how it goes, dismissed." Kathryn ordered, and she left with everybody else.

One hour later in Sickbay...

"So we sedate him, get inside his head, then what?" Kathryn asked.

"His mind will set up barriors, and you must overcome them. At somepoint you will reach Chakotay's memories, and you have to get them to resurface." Tuvok explained.

"I want to moniter both of your nerual activity, is something goes wrong I want to be able to break the telepathic bond." The Doctor piped up.

"I am afraid that is impossible. This mind-meld is high risk, only the Captain or Commander Chakotay can break the bond, I am only a link."

"It's to dangerous Captain." The Doctor argued.

"But's its the only way Doctor. I have to do this, for Chakotay's sake." Kathryn argued.

"For Chakotay's sake, or your own?" The Doctor asked, but Kathryn pretended she didn't hear the Doctor's remark.

"Let's do this."

Kathryn and Tuvok sat by Chakotay's bed, on it he was unconcisuos. Tuvok placed on of his hands on Kathryn's face, the other on Chakotay's. Kathryn felt strange as Tuvok started to recite soemthing in Vulcan, and she felt herself leaving her body.

What wonders and challenges await Kathryn in Chakotay's mind? Will both her and Chakotay come out alive? Will this intiamte experience bring them closer, or tear them apart?

She closed her eyes, and when she re-opened them she was standing in a meadow. In front of her was a birdbath, and she looked at her reflection. Kathryn hair was long again, and fell to herm tailbone. She was wearing a roman style dress, with a gold chain around her waste.

"Are we going to talk when this is all over Chakotay." She muttered, and walked futher into the meadow.

Kathryn walked, the meadow seemed to strech on for ever, but before she could dwell on the length of the meadow a cave appeared in her path. She slowly went in, untill she saw two seprate tunnels. In one was a flame that reached the roof, the other a slow trickle of water.

"Choose......" She heard, not from a source, from all around her. The voice seemed to be coming from the world aroung her.

"Choose......choose.......which....one.....best.......describes...your...feelings..for....Chakotay." She heard.

"Great. Just great. Think Kathryn think." She muttered.

'Well, the water says to me....our love is calm, steady, and unmovable. But the flame says....passion, desire, and devotion. Both of which is how I feel.' She thought.

Kathryn thought a while longer, and came up with a plan. She walked towards the water and got herself wet, then walked through the flame, unharmed. Ahead was more meadow, and she stepped out of the cave.

"Very.....wise.....you are.....not....tooo....be......underestimated." The voice said.

She slowly walked untill she came to a path, curious she followed it. On her way she seen a sign that read,

"Only in truth will you find what you seek."

"Nice long chat Chakotay." She said under breath.

She continued on the path, untill she seen a boy, and on either side of him.

The boy looked like a young Chakotay, ebony eyes and hair.

"Who are you?" He asked.

"My name is Kathryn, I'm looking for a man named Chakotay, he should know who I am." She explained.

"Well, we got two paths, and you might want to try the Village of Truth. Or if you go down the wrong path you'll end up in the Village of Liars." He replied.

"Which one are you from?" Kathryn asked.

"The Village of Truth."

"How do I know you're not as liar from Liarsville?" She asked.

"You don't. But I will allow you to ask me one question." He offered.

"Alright. So people in Liarsville are liars, and truth tellers are from Truth Town or whatever it's called." She muttered, starting to pace.

'So, if he's a liar and I ask him to show me wich path leads to........hmm...Wait I got it!' She thought.

"Which path leads to your village?" She asked, knowing that if he tells the truth he'll point her on the path to the Village of Truth, but if he's a liar he'll have to say Truth Village in order to tell a lie.

"Very clever, Kathryn. Know that your Chakotay is true, and he's waiting for you." He explained, and pointed to the path on his right.

"Thank-you very much." Kathryn thanked, and she walked down the path. She walked for like seemed like an eternity, untill she arrived at a tall white building, standing in front of the door was Chakotay's father.

"Hello. My name is Captain.." She began, but he cut her off.

"I know who you are, and why you're here. You want to save my son." He replied.

"Yes, that's right."

"May I ask why?" Chakotay's father asked.

"Because he doesn't deserve to not remember who he is, where he came from, and all of his friends." She explained.

"What about you? You love him do you not?"

"Yes. Yes I do love Chakotay, and I want him back." She replied.

"Your heart is true, and he knows you love him. Kathryn, can you honestly say that your mission here is totally selfless?" He asked, and KAthryn bowed her head.

"I suppose I came to put myself at ease. I just feel so responsible for what happened. Maybe if I hadn't fainted when he struck his head we wouldn't be here." She explianed.

"You I like. Your honest, and you have a good heart. Go inside, Chakotay is waiting." He faced the building, and the door opened.

Kathryn thanked him and went inside, she found him lying on a bed of silk surounded by white candles. He appeared to be sleeping, so Kathryn sat beside him.

"Chakotay...can you hear me?" She asked. When he didn't stirr she tried agian, but he didn't respond.

Kathryn knelt beside his bed, and gazed at his face. She didn't realize she was crying untill she felt the hot tears on her cheeks. Kathryn slowly lowered her head, and touched Chakotay's cheek. He felt warm, she she pressed her lips against his, for a final good-bye. Then he stirred, and kissed her back.

"Chakotay...do you know who I am?" She asked.

"Yes I do Kathryn. You are my Captain, closest friend, and I hope you'll be the one I can devote myself to." He replied, sitting up. She smiled and threw her arms around his neck.

"Chakotay, what do you say about giving that boat ride another shot?" She asked, and Chakotay stood up, Kathryn burst out laughing.

"What's so funny?" He asked.

"Your...well..." She laughed. Chakotay looked down, he was only wearing his tatoo.

Kathyn felt the world melting away, and when she opened her eyes she was once again in sickbay. Tuvok was awake, and Chakotay was waking up.

Wow, true love does withstand all! My next post will be the beginning of the last two episodes, untill then, enjoy.

Fireworks explode above San Francisco Bay in spectacular greeting. USS Voyager has returned home! People in the crowd on Golden Gate Bridge clap and cheer as Voyager passes overhead

"These should be familiar images to everyone who remembers USS Voyage's trumphant return to Earth after 23 years in the Delta Qudrant. Voyager captivated the hearts and minds of the people thorughout the Federation, so it seems fitting that on this the tenth anniversary of their return we take a moment to recall the sacrifices made by the crew." The newscaster explained.

This is the future - a future where Voyager took 23 years to reach home. Kathryn Janeway, now an Admiral in Starfleet, and she moves across her dimly-lit apartment. She feels tears on her eyes as she recalls crew members lost to the Delta quadrant, and she gentely rubs a gold wedding band on her finger. Kathryn pulls it off to read what's engraved.

"Forever yours, Chakotay." She reads aloud, and places it back on her finger.

"Corruption charges were brought today against-" The newscaster continued.

"Computer end display." Kathryn ordered, and she slowly looks out the window at the Bay, the twinkling lights on it's surface remind her of Chakotay's laugh.

Later at the reunion............

A young girl aproaches Harry Kim, who is now a Captain.

"Hello." He says to the young girl.

"What's your name?" She asks.

"Harry. What's yours?" He replied.

"Sabrina." She replies.

"Naomi's daughter?" Harry asked, trying to find the young girl in his memory.

"Uh huh." Sabrina answers.

"You've gotten so big." Harry compliments.

"I don't remember you." Sabrina pipes up, and Harry smiles.

"I haven't been to one of these reunions in four years. I've been on a deep-space assignment." He explains.

"For four years?!" Sabrina exclaims, to a young child like her four years seems like forever.

"Compared to how long I was on Voyager it seemed like a long weekend. Can you find your mother for me? I'd love to say hi." He asks, as Kathryn aproaches him. She hands him a drink.

"Here you are Captain." She says.

"Thank-you Admiral." He thanks, taking a sip.

They both walk off for a chat, and Harry feels good to see her.

"I haven't seen her since she was a baby." He says, amazed.

"It's amazing how fast you've all grown up."

"How are you?" He asks, turning serious.

"I'm fine, getting old, but I'm fine. Why do you ask?" Kathyn asks.

"It's just I thought you would be upset, you lost so much in the Delta quadrant, then there's Chakotay." He replied.

"I'd prefer not to talk about him." She said, tears in her eyes.

"How's Tuvok?" Harry asks, changing the subject.

"Not well."

"I thought maybe I'd go see him."

"That would be nice." Kathryn replied.

"I'm sorry I missed the funeral, I should've been there, for you. He was.." Harry began, but Kathryn cut him off.

"You were on a mission. Everyone understood. It's so good to see you Harry."

Tom looks up to see the Doctor entering the apartment with a lovely woman on his arm.

"Doc!" Tom called.

"Mr Paris, Voyager's pilot, medic and occasional thorn in my side." He says to the woman next to him.

Tom gives the Doctor a hug, and smiles widely.

"Where have you been hiding yourself?" The Doctor asked.

"I've been busy." Tom replied.

"A new holonovel?"

"I'll be sure to get your input before I send it to my publisher. Aren't you going to introduce me to your date?" Tom asked, curious.

"Tom Paris, meet Lana, my blushing bride." The Doctor replied.

"You're married?!" Tom exclaimed, and and a few looked at him.

"Tommorrow's our two week anniversary." Lana said, looking into the Doctor's eyes.

"Well, congratulations! My invitation must've gotten lost in subspace?" Tom asked, sad that he wasn't invited.

"You should be flattered. We took a leaf out of your book and eloped." The Doctor joked.

"Joe has a real flare for romantic gestures." Lana complimented.

"Joe?!" Tom asked.

"I decided I couldn't get married without a name." Joe replied.

"It took you thirty-three years to come up with 'Joe'?"

"It was Lana's grandfather's name." Joe explained.

"Oh, so you're not a...." Tom trailed off.

"A hologram? No." Lana replied.

"Frankly, Mr Paris, I'm surprised you'd even ask. I thought we were beyond those sorts of distinctions." Joe replied, harshly.

"Are you kidding? I think it's great. I'm in a 'mixed marriage' myself, remember." Tom reminded the Doctor, and he noded.

"Speaking of which, where is that wife of yours?" The Doctor asked.

Kathryn and B'Elanna are chatting in the corner.

"The High Council had a lot of questions." B'Elanna said.

"What did you tell them?" Kathryn asked.

"The truth, with a Klingon twist. I told that them my beloved former captain, who had saved my life many times in glorious battle, would be honoured to submit Korath's House for consideration." B'Elanna smiled coyly to herself.

"Do you think it'll work?"

"I'm just the Federation liaison, but I'd like to think I have some influence. You still haven't told my why you're trying to help Korath."
B'Elanna explained.

"He's an old friend." Kathryn replied, and looked away quickly.

"Would this 'old friend' have anything to do with the mission you sent my daughter on?" B'Elanna asked, looking for answers.

"Sorry, B'Elanna, but you know I can't talk about that."

"Couldn't you at least have waited until after the reunion? She really wanted to be here."

"Don't worry, she'll be home soon, I promise." Kathryn replied.

Reginald Barclay, who is now a Commander, taps his glass to get everybody's attention.

"May I have everyone's attention, please? Attention!" He yells.

Everyone quiets down and gather's around him.

"Ten years ago tonight, this crew returned home from the longest away mission in Starfleet history. Twenty-three years together made you a family, one I'm proud to have been adopted by. So let's raise our glasses - to the journey!" Reg toasted.

"To the journey." They toasted back.

"And to those of us who aren't here to celebrate it with us!" Kathryn says loudly.

'A toast to my darling Chakotay, who I will never forget.' Kathryn thought as she raised her glass.

Post more soon.

In Communications Reasearch Center at Starfleet, which contianed project Pathfinder, is now used to teach Starfleet Acadeny Cadets.

Reginald Barclay is the lecturer. He presses a buttton to activate a floor-mounted-holo-emitter which projects a holo-image of a Borg Drone.

"Ladies and Gentlemen meet the Borg." Reg annouces.

"Over the course of this term you're going to become intimately familiar with the Collective. You'll learn about the assimilation process, the Borg hiearchy, and the psychology of the hive mind. And when it comes to your performance in this class, my expectations are going to be no different than those of the Borg queen herself-perfecrtion." He explains.

Reg than steps aside to reveal Kathryn.

"This semester we are very fortuanate to have a special guest lecturer, the woman who literally wrote the book on the Borg- Admiral Kathryn Janeway."

Kathryn steps up to the poedium.

"Thank you Commander. I'm glad to be here."

A young Cadet stands up.

"A questiona already Cadet?" Kathryn asked.

"I suppose it could wait untill after class, Admiral." He replied.

"AS they say in the temporal mechanics department, there's no time like the present." She quipped.

"In the year 2377 you aided the Borg resistance movement known as Unimatrix Zero."

"Souns like someone's been reading ahead." Reg said.

"I thougt you had a question Cadet." Kathryn said.

"Yes ma'am. When you informed the Queen that you were going liberate thousands of drones, could you describe the look on her face?" He asked.

Another Cadet stands up with a question.

"Admiral, some of us were talking before class and we were curious. How externsive was Seven of Nine's involvenebt with Unimatrix Zero?" The young Cadet asked.

Kathryn felt a knot form in her throat, and tears burned her eyes.

"I'd er...prefer not to discuss Seven of Nine."

"Yes ma'am sorry." She replies.

A person enters the room, and whispers into Kathryn's ear.

"Excuse me." She says, exiting the room.

"Okay, who can tell me a little about Nanotechnology?" He asks, taking over his class.

Kathyn, now in her office, communicates with Miral, a young Ensign, and daughter of Tom and B'Elanna.

"I'm sorry to pull you out of class, Admiral." She apologizes.

"Did you see it?" Kathryn asks.

"Yes ma'am."

"And?" Kathyn asks.

"It works!" Miral replies, excited.

"Korath has agreed to the exchange?"

"Yes." Miral says.

"But?"

"He's insisting on handing it over to you personally." Miral explaines.

Post more soom, promise.

"I'll be there as soon as I can. Good work, Ensign Paris." Kathryn compliments, and Miral terminates their communication.

'Chakotay, if only I could speak with you. I loved you, as only a woman could...but then I lost you. I know we tried, and Fate cheated us out of our love. The powers that be were jealous of what we had, and the life we created, so they took her...and you.' Kathyn thouhgt, as tears streamed down her cheeks.

In Starfleet Medical Tuvok, who suffers from a strange disease, is in a room filled with dimly lit candles. He is crouching over papers scattered all over the floor, with very headache causing symbols on them. Tuvok looks up as Kathryn enters the room.
"Hello Tuvok." Kathryn greets.

"The light." Tuvok groans, covering his eyes.

"Oh, I'm sorry." She enters the room and the door closes.

"I know you." Tuvok says.

"That's right. I'm your friend, Kathryn Janeway. Remember?" Kathyn asks.

"You are an imposture." Tuvok replies.

"No, Tuvok, it's me." Kathryn tries to explain.

"Admiral Janeway visits on Sunday. Today is Thursday. Logic dictates you are not who you claim to be."

"How are you?" She asks, crouching down to his level.

"I am close to completing my work." He annouces, proud.

"I'm glad to hear it."

"It is difficult with so many interruptions."

"I'm sorry. Would you like me to leave?" Kathryn asked, hoping he would let her stay.

"You may stay." Kathryn breaths a sigh of relief.

"Tuvok, there's something I need to tell you. It's very important."

Tuvok gives her little attention and continues to write.

"I'm going away, and I may not see you again. Commander Barclay and the Doctor will continue to visit. They'll bring you anything you need." She explains.

"The Doctor comes on Wednesdays. Commander Barclay's visits are erratic." Tuvok explains, and Kathryn smiles to her self.

"Good-bye Tuvok." She whispers, and gives him a kiss in the top of his head.

Kathryn places a photograph of Voyager's Senior staff on his table. In the picture everybody is there, but there is also two additions. In B'Elanna's arms is a young Miral, and in Kathryn's arms, a baby girl. The small baby has ebony hair, but soft blue eyes, and Chakotay is looking at her with shear pride.

Who's baby could that be? Come on, you only need one guess, yes that's right. By why the baby here no more? More to come, see you soon.

Kathryn steps back as the Doctor enters her apartment.

"You must be the only Doctor who still makes house calls." She jokes.

"What are you symptoms?" He asked, getting out a tricorder.

"I'm perfectly fine." Kathryn replies.

"For thirty-three years you've fought me every time you were due for a phsyical. Now you ask me to give you one ahead of schedule?" He asks, suspicion in his voice.

"I'm taking a trip. I just wanted to get our appointment out of the way before I left." Kathryn explained.

"That's all?"

"That's all."

"Hmmm... Well the good news is your as heathy as the day I frist examined you, besides the results from your pregnancy." The Doctor expalined.

"Will...that be a problem?" Kathryn asked.

"No, so, how are you holding up?" He asked.

"I'll be fine. Well now that that's out of the way, have a seat." She offers, and he sits.

Kathryn talks as she packs her clothes, including her Admiral's uniform.

"We didn't get to talk much at the party." Kathryn stated.

"No, I suppose we didn't."

"So, how's married life?" She asked.

"Wonderful you should try it." The Doctor replied, and Kathryn took in a sharp breath.

"Kathryn....I know it's been tough on all of us, especially you, but we must move on." The Doc advised.

"You don't understand. I lost my partner, and my......." Kathryn trailed off, and began to sobb.

"I'm so sorry Admiral. I didn't mean to imply that you didn't love Commander Chakotay, or your daughter Taya. Remember when I told you that you were pregnant?" He asked, hoping at humor.

"Yes, my jaw hit the floor. And Chakotay couldn't have been happier that he was going to be a father."

"I know, he was so proud of her. It was a shame we lost her to that plasma leak." He expained.

"I've been meaning to ask you, are you familiar with the drug called chronexaline?" She asked, changing the subject.

I have to go, but I'll post more soon!
