actually it isn't, the warp chart is not numerical, 2 insnt twice as fast as 1 etc etc, it is a curve, and therefore ther number DO NOT go in sequense/ Iif you're gonna answer a question, at l;east answer it right!

yeah..
ok,th is da real thing:
well there are 2 warp scales.. so the folowing values are approx.
As u know velocity of light is 'c' and = 299,792,458 metres/sec
OK, so Warp 1 = 1 c
warp 2 = 2X2X2 c = 8 c
the warp factor is cubed!
warp 9 = 729c

There would be light, think of it like this.
When you are traveling faster than the speed of sound, like mach 3 for example, you can still have a conversation with somebody, it's not totally silent, I assume the same applies to your "no light" theory.

Everything is relative, so within the spaceship, whether at warp 1, warp 9.9 or 1/4 impulse, everything seems to be like normal. The analogy cited abt the cat at 70 kmph is apt enough. And of course the speeg of light is constant c = 299,792,458 m/s
speed = warp factor cubed
therefore warp 1 =c
warp 2 = 8c
etc.
