Israel is asking for help, So unless you plan on going to the Israeli government, and getting them to change their minds, other countries will be involved.

Do you mind if I post my opinion?

I will take that as a no if you do simply Private message me and let me know...

I think that the palestianians should back off because they have plenty of land if they would just use it. The only reason that Israel is nice is because the Jews worked hard to terraform it into a nice place. I think if the Muslims instead of being militant like usual just terraformed what they had...

Like if they built a massive canal in land... and dug a Geothermal heat well 200 thousand feet into the ground... they could use the natural heat of the earth to evaporate the water.... The water then forms clouds, condensates, and youve got instant jungle/praries/ nice place mix.

And it would be warm all year round nice and cozy...

Then to take care of pesky bugs and parasites such as mosquitos.

They could build large towers that were designed to be bat habitats.

They could also house bees.

The bats would come out at night consuming all mosquitos, and other annoying parasitac bugs thus providing minimal irritation and disease from insects.

The bees would provide pollination for the plants allowing the farms to produce food.

This way Saudi arabia, the Arab nations, and Israel could all have a jungle paradise using the Geothermal energy however there is a side effect.

If too much energy is drained from the planets inner parts that part of the planet (or another part) may collapse because the heat won't be able to counter the force above caused by the weight of the matter above wherever it is being drained.

This is my opinion.

JERUSALEM (Aug. 19) - A suicide bomber blew himself up on a packed Jerusalem bus on Tuesday, killing at least five people, including children, paramedics said.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility.

The blast went off shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday, on a main thoroughfare in Jerusalem. The bus was packed with passengers.

Several bodies were seen strewn on the sidewalk after the explosion. Bloodied children were rushed to waiting ambulances. Rescue workers tended to other wounded on the tree-lined street.

The militant Islamic Jihad has said it would avenge the killing of a senior operative by Israeli troops last week.

They lowered it because a bunch of bodies were dismembered, must've been a little confusing. I also read that the explosion damaged a second bus that was passing by the first one.

Quote:
Israel has cut off contacts with Palestinian officials following a suicide bus blast in the heart of Jerusalem which killed 19 Israelis and injured up to 100.

Israeli Foreign Ministry official Yonatan Peled announced the suspension of talks on the handover of West Bank towns to Palestinian control after Tuesday's bombing.

The ministry said Israel would also re-impose a total military closure on West Bank towns - allowing no one in or out.

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is due to hold security consultations on Wednesday morning to decide what further action to take.

Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas, also known as Abu Mazen, condemned the attacks through a spokesman.

The spokesman said contact with Islamic militants would now be cut and security measures would be taken against them.

"It was decided after these meetings that the Palestinian Authority would stop all forms of dialogue with Hamas and Islamic Jihad," a senior Palestinian security official told the Reuters news agency.

"It holds them responsible for harming the higher national interest of the Palestinian people," the unnamed official said.

Both Hamas and Islamic Jihad have said they carried out the bombing.

But a senior Hamas official reportedly said the bombing did not mean the end of a temporary ceasefire by the militants.

"I can't say the ceasefire is finished. We are still committed to a ceasefire as Palestinian organisations, national and Islamic, but all Palestinian organisations said clearly we will react for each aggression from the side of Israelis," Reuters quoted the official as saying.

Hamas distributed fliers in Hebron after the attack, saying the Jerusalem bombing was carried out by Raed Abdel-Hamed Mesk, 29, a mosque preacher from Hebron, the Associated Press reported.

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is due to hold security consultations to decide what action to take on Wednesday morning.

Child victims

The blast took place on Tuesday at about 2100 (1800GMT) in an ultra-Orthodox area - Shmuel Hanavi - near the old dividing line between east and west Jerusalem.

The BBC's Chris Morris in Jerusalem says even hardened Israeli ambulance workers were stunned by the appalling injuries caused by the blast.

First Islamic Jihad said it was behind the attack. It had vowed revenge last week after Israeli troops killed one of its leaders in the West Bank town of Hebron.

But later, a videotape released in Hebron showed a man who identified himself as a member of Hamas, and announced he would carry out the suicide bombing.

There are reports that the bomber was disguised as an ultra-Orthodox Jew when he carried out the attack.

Five of the dead and about 40 of the wounded were children, hospital officials told Associated Press.

Condemnation

Abu Mazen - denounced the bombing as "a horrible act which does not serve the interest of the Palestinian people at all".

He was meeting Islamic Jihad leaders in the Gaza Strip at the time of the explosion, in a new effort to persuade them to halt attacks.

At the end of June the main Palestinian militant groups declared a ceasefire, after coming under international pressure to support the roadmap negotiations.

US President George W Bush said the Palestinian Authority needed to move to "dismantle and destroy" militant groups and that the United States was prepared to help.

Israeli-Palestinian violence had subsided significantly since the militants' ceasefire declaration.

Tuesday's explosion was the most deadly in Jerusalem since a bus bombing killed at least 17 people in mid-June.

Palestinian and Israeli negotiators had reportedly been close to reaching an agreement on the future of the West Bank towns of Qalqilya and Jericho in the hours before the bombing.

I would support Israel. Also what hasn't been said is that Arrafat is condeming the bombings in our public, but he says that he won't rest until all the Israelites are dead elsewhere.

The Israeli's have retaliated:

Quote:
GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (Aug. 21) - Israel killed a senior Hamas political leader in a missile strike Thursday, retaliating for a suicide bombing of a bus in which 20 people died including six children. The Islamic militant group threatened revenge and formally abandoned a truce declared eight weeks ago.

Also, Israeli troops raided the West Bank towns of Nablus, Jenin and Tulkarem in search of militants.

Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas warned that the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Abu Shanab would make it harder to crack down on militant groups. Under pressure from Washington and Israel, the Palestinian leadership had decided on a clampdown just hours before his death.

Abu Shanab was riding with two bodyguards in his gold-colored station wagon Thursday in Gaza City when five missiles fired from an Israeli helicopter hit the vehicle. The car burst into flames and three bodies were pulled from the wreckage. Fifteen bystanders were hurt.

Dozens of Hamas supporters at the scene dunked their fists in blood, raised their hands and vowed revenge, chanting ''God is great.''

Israel has routinely targeted members of Hamas' military wing but rarely gone after the group's political leaders. Abu Shanab, a U.S.-educated professor of engineering, was the third member of Hamas' political wing to be killed in the past two years. Israel says the distinction between political and military leaders is insignificant, because both are involved in planning attacks.

''There's no question that there is a direct link between the heads of Hamas and the terrorists on the ground,'' said Israeli Foreign Ministry official Gideon Meir, though he would not say explicitly that Israel killed Abu Shanab.

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon warned that if the Palestinian Authority ''does not take all the necessary steps in the war against terror, real and substantial steps, it will not be possible to advance on the diplomatic track.''

Hamas formally called off a three-month truce it declared June 29. ''We consider ourselves no longer bound by this cease-fire,'' said a Hamas leader, Ismail Hanieh, after identifying Abu Shanab's decapitated body at a Gaza City morgue.

Hamas had carried out two suicide bombings despite the cease-fire, including the Jerusalem bus attack Tuesday that killed 20 people. The group had insisted these were limited retaliations for deadly Israeli raids and not violations of the truce.

Abbas warned the missile strike would hamper the planned crackdown, saying, ''This for sure will affect the whole process and the decision taken by the Palestinian Authority.'' Earlier Thursday, he met with a U.S. envoy, John Wolf, to discuss the authority's next moves.

Israel had suspended what it calls targeted killings and what the Palestinians call assassinations during the cease-fire. But the Israeli security Cabinet decided late Wednesday to renew the practice, in response to the Jerusalem bombing, the deadliest since the launch of a U.S.-backed peace plan three months ago. More than 100 people were wounded in the blast, including about 40 children.

After taking office in April, Abbas had shied away from confrontation with Hamas, Islamic Jihad and armed renegades in his own Fatah movement, saying he feared civil war.

Pressure mounted after the Jerusalem bombing, however, with the United States demanding an immediate crackdown. ''There's funding, there's support, there's munitions, there's organization, and all that needs to be taken apart,'' said U.S. State Department spokesman Richard Boucher.

In a first step, Abbas ordered the arrest of all those directly involved in the bombing, and then asked his Cabinet for proposals on a wider clampdown. The ideas raised in the Cabinet meeting, including arrests, a gag order on Hamas and Islamic Jihad spokesmen, and the freezing of assets of militant groups, were taken to Yasser Arafat and top PLO officials for approval late Wednesday.

The meeting, which lasted until early Thursday, was at times stormy. Abbas had told his ministers earlier that he would resign if he did not get Arafat's full support for taking action against Hamas and Islamic Jihad, but it was not clear whether he made the threat in Arafat's presence.

In the end, Abbas and Arafat agreed on a joint statement which said the Palestinian Authority would enforce the rule of law, take control of illegal weapons and end ''military displays'' by the militants, a reference to marches led by gunmen.

The Palestinian leadership statement did not refer to arrests, which would appear to be a cornerstone of any crackdown, but Palestinian officials said there would be detentions.

''It's a campaign that even in the worst nightmares Hamas and Islamic Jihad never imagined,'' said Elias Zananiri, a spokesman for Palestinian security chief Mohammed Dahlan, speaking before the missile strike. ''There's a list of people to be arrested.''

The Israelis moved back into Palestinian areas after the bus bombing. Since the spring of 2002, when Israel reoccupied most of the West Bank, troops have been moving in and out of Palestinian towns repeatedly to arrested wanted men.

The biggest operation was in the old city of Nablus, a militant stronghold where troops were looking for Hamas militants and Fatah renegades responsible for two bombings that killed two Israelis earlier this month.

Troops sealed off the old city with armored vehicles and barbed wire and ordered residents out of homes to search buildings. They arrested 14 Palestinians, including a Hamas member caught with a large quantity of explosives, the army and witnesses said.

In the town of Tulkarem, Israeli undercover troops chasing two Fatah gunmen raided a pool hall, but the fugitives escaped. The soldiers opened fire during the chase, killing a 16-year-old bystander and wounding four, all under the age of 20, Palestinian security officials said. The Israeli military said there was a gunbattle.

I love how the Palestinians bitch about "innocent bystanders" being killed in a gun battle, when they themselves blow up busses with children on them on purpose.

It'll never end if its an eye for an eye etc. Also its sooo hypocritical of countries such as Saudi Arabia saying that the Jews should let the palastines in due to the fact that the palastinians had asked the other arab countries if they could go there, but they said no. Now that its Israel, who they all hate then its "Oh, you must let them in"

I thought peace might actually come. It was the futhest it had been in a long time. It will probably never end now, until the end of the world, or just before it.
