PostFri Nov 08, 2002 1:14 pm    Do you feel that 9/11 was justified in some way??

Does anyone here feel that 9/11 sorta taught the americans a lesson that they shouldnt think that they are the Strongest greatest Nation on the planet, and that America shouldnt act as if it rules the Universe ??

Hmmm.... I've never seen America think it rules the Universe, or the world for that matter. I've seen her try to push democracy and basic human rights, but never act like she owns/rules the place.
As for teaching us a lesson? Ha. No. All it has done is make us more aware. We know that we have vulnerablities.
Strongest nation........ Militarily, we kind of are. I am of course counting those countries allied w/ the US. I'm sure if the whole world went after us, allied, we'd get our asses kicked, but before that happened, there'd be one heck of a fight.
And it's natural for a people to think that their country is the strongest and greatest. I'd be rather disappointed if others didn't, also. It's called patriotism. Of course you have to balance that w/ reality, but, well, you get my point.

Oh, yeah. Your question really doesn't fit your poll question. NO country deserves something like that. Would you mind adjusting that?

people who think that sep 11th was justified are sick in the head. Anyone killing innocente people is sick for that matter. There are some mixed feeling for me as well, but not about sept 11th. The person that created this sick scenery from hell must be at least sentenced to death, such a creature has no right to exist.
That I don't like bush has nothing to do with it. And what good did it bring? Our economy is down, people are loosing jobs we are at war............
Yeah right, something good came from it..................

You dont know the other side of the story, vortex...
you just know what the american Media tells you..

When you realise that DUE to america millions of innocents have died needlessly , you might be able to see the other side of the coin.

Ok, I changed the topic name a bit, so it doesnt sound bad ...
And, America does act as if its the boss around here, and pushes other countries around..

Even the United Nations is just a puppet in their hands
By the way Maquis754.. whatever that darn number is, dont let your personal feelings for america affect your MODeration ..
Cause you might find posts like "america is ******"

I think it's wrong that bush is ignoring the United Nations, that instead of ignoring them should push issues through them. No matter what the "media" says Osama did get two planes to crash into those towers on September 11th and NO matter what the reason or what we did that is NO EXCUSE for killing innocent people. If you want to teach America a lessen you ambush an Army base, since Military personnel are not considered innocent, even then that is NOT entirley ethicly right.

But it's like love or hate, now is that real or fake?
Cause it's a real thin line, but that's your choice to make.
The question at hand, help me understand, is this your plan?
I think I can, can I think, then I think I can.

How can you say NO MATTER what you did??
What if i say america caused the death of 5 million innocents... compared to that the thousand lost are nothing ..

I don't see where you are getting this 1 million people killed from. Yes, he probably would if that was true, but that doesn't excuse doing it back. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Revenge for what? What did we do that would justify killing so many innocent people?

It doesn't matter. If you want to get revenge you take a damn plane and bomb an american military base.
