PostFri Aug 17, 2001 8:26 am    Future of Star Trek

In the future of Star Trek, I would like a Star Trek based on the Borg or some other species, where the people of the Federation are the bad guys.
As a 14 year old, it is my dream to work at Paramount Pictures, and create a new series based on the Borg or a Captain who betrays the Federation.
I just want to see the different views of the Romulans, Klingons, Borg, etc... We all think that those people are the bad guys. We don't know what their position is, or why they are doing their actions.

That's true. It would be cool to see where everyone came from, why they are like they are.

I think that's one of the reasons I like the Romulans so much. We know EVERYTHING about the Klingons, but very little about the Romulans. No one had ever seen one until Balance of Terror, TOS.

We go on to the Borg or some new Species. Wouldn't that be the logical conclusion?

Perhaps you won't. Are most people bored with the Borg?

Yes, nobody knows how the Borg Originated. I think they should show us where the Borg Originated from. Maybe we'll find out in Enterprise. You never know, we could meet them in Enterprise as an alien injecting himself/herself with nanoprobes and then the crew gets their memories wiped.

You know I agree. I want to see the Romulan side of things. I want to see the Romulan's vs the Vulcan's. It would be so killer!

i think an interesting version of star trek: voyager would be a version in which the voyager is a very powerful war ship and its mission: to subjugate the delta quadrant

That would be cool, but impractical (not to mention against everything ST stands for.)

I would like to see a series based on the TOS episode "Assignment: Earth", where several of those agents are the stars, and they go between civilazations fixing problems like Gary 7 did on earth.

Sort of like a cross between X-Files and Quantum Leap.

I think The Romulans would win, the Vulcans are not too good at wars.

I think a star trek based on the borg would be cool, but i would like one based on klingons better, however i agree that starfleet should be the bad guys.

The original plan WAS to do a Gary Seven series, but they dropped it 'cos they had no budget for it.

I agree on the 8472 idea - that would be GREAT!

Yeah, I know that was Roddenberry's original idea for a whole spin-off series starting with Assignment:Earth.

Just look at E:FC or Andromeda, they may make that series too, now that ST is so popular.

Do you think they will make another series if Enterprise does alright? It seems like theres a lot going on in the Federation just to ingnore the 24th century.
