Babylon 5 will restart on the Scifi channel on March 11 (5pm, Mon-Thurs).

If you've been considering catching this awesome series, that's the time.

A word of advice: Don't judge the series by the pilot. Or even by the first season. Starting with season 2, it takes a major change in direction.

^That sucks.

For the record, I remember hearing something about B5 playing on some UK channel starting in April sometime.....

Also, season 2 has just started on Scifi. Its still early enough to easily jump into the story arc, if anyone's interested....

Well at first I did not like B5 but I started watching from Season 3 onwards and once you get a hang of wot is going on it is pretty cool...It isn't like Star Trek where every episode is individual but in B5 a single storyline can be spread across an entire season or even several seasons....I do not think Crusade was very good though...altho I felt that Legend of the Rangers had promise.

Yeah but in the past year Bravo and Sci-fi have both repeated it in full (if you get those channels) and with Sci-fi's limited selection for daytime TV it's only a matter of time before it's on a again

Anyone who holds this viewpoint simply hasn't seen the right B5 episodes, or enough of them. Once you have, its quite impossible not to like it.

Have it your way, those are good too. But you don't know what you're missing.

An example. Next time the Scifi channel airs the B5 telemovie "In the Beginning" (I have no idea when they will), try it out. Its one of the series' better offerings.

That's the one that was made during the 4th series and covers the Mimbari war told from the future Londo's view isn't it? (either that or I've got it confused with the first ep, but I'm sure that's "The Gathering" and not all that good)

As I said, your loss.

It is the most epic Scifi series out there----not the best, but the most epic, for sure.

I won't try to convince you anymore------but if you're bored one day and its on, give it a real shot. No, scratch that------don't bother. You can't judge B5 by one episode, because it isn't episodic.
