ya I agree...it wouldn't be any fun because it would always be the right thing...I mean in nearly all star trek episodes...the captains (at the time of that episode) has messed up every now and then in order to make the show more enjoyable

PostTue Sep 24, 2002 7:35 pm    Tuvok

I'm glad that he dicided to go along with what the crew was feeling & contact the Vidiians ( I think I spelled that right! ) for the cure for that illness. Afterall, Tuvok & Janeway have known each other for a long & been friends, as much as Vulkons control their emotions, I really could not see Tuvok just leaving Janeway & Chakotay there.
It was one of the most touching episodes.

chakotay would make the best captain.....

tactically tuvok would be an amazing captain.... but he has no compassion for the crewmembers

Tuvok as Captain? I don't see that happening because his ways are not everyone else's. It would be a boring trip home.

No...Not enough emotion. Half the fun of having human captains is watching them wrestle their emotions.

Ya. For Star Trek to be on the air...I think the captains should mostly be human.

But if we have like a guest captain on the show...or in a movie then it can be an alien...but I think that we should stick with humans as the main "captain" characters.

I can imagine that.... You guys remember what Neelix said in episode Awake Moment (it's the right title isn't it?), Tuvok's nightmare would be to be abandoned in an isolated community where the only communication is laughter I guess he would better be a professor than a captain

I think he would have found a way home quicker than Janeway did, all she wanted to do were help people. And look what she got for it most of her crew killed and her ship stolen.

Most of her crew huh...? The crew compliment were approximately 150 people...I'm sure she returned home with no less than 135...I mean Picard lost 18 people when Q allowed them to meet the Borg...That's already surpassed Janeway's number by 3.

Sure, why not? Can't do any worse than "kill em all" Janeway.

Also...how many admirals that have given orders to Picard have ended up dead? There's the Admiral from FC...Insurrection...but not from Nemesis...
Hmm...I think Picard's got something to do with it...(LOL. I'm SO SO SO joking...)
