Bioneural gel packs are literally circuit packs that contain live brain cells, that can speed up ship operation. They're kept alive by some kind of feed, don't know what tho.

Bio neural gelpacks are components of a bioneural computer system consisting of a flexable, liquid-tight package containing sythetic neural cells in agelatinous organic medium. The gell packs were designed for convinient managment of bio-neural circutry (Advanced computer technology using sythetic nerual cells for data processing. Bio-neural circtry could organize and process complex information faster and more efficintly than traditional optical proccessors) and could be easily swapped out as needed. Bio-neural processors were vunerable to viral and other infections, wich could adversly affect system performance.
