PostSat Sep 07, 2002 7:14 pm    The warp core

Was it ever explained why at the start of voyager the plasma in the core was a purple colour and the changed to a very much sky blue colour?

I have been looking on the net now for half an hour, and I can't find a satisfactory answer to your question.

according to the star trek encyclopedia, its because the Voyager used bio neural cercitry, and the plasma network had to be redesigned, they used a different type of plasma, and so the warp core colour was different

You can buy it in any good bookstore from the Sci-Fi section (or Star Trek section if the store has one).

I noticed the same thing. I just figured that they modified it.
