I have read most of the replies in this discussion. Most of the people repling do believe in life on other planets. The one disturbing idea is that most are saying is that the conditions need to be like earth, in order to support life. What about the time that voyager stopped on a Y class planet and found life, yes in different form, but still life.

you are right.becauseits more then likely that not all speicies meet the same needs as species on earth.
Who believes that there is intelligent life on other planets?

I like to keep an open mind on the subject. There is so much about space we do not know I think there is a possibility. Who knows whats out there?

But having said that, there has to be the right planetary conditions to sustain life and so far, as far as I'm ware of that we have not found a planet with similar conditions to Earth. Such as the rite temperature, atmosphere etc.

Please correct me if I am wrong, Scientists believe there may have been water on Mars and one of Jupiters moons had ice on it and bacteria was found on asteroids and Mars. I think that is the closest we have got to find any other life sustaining evidence in space. But who says they have to live in the same conditions as we do?

I think it would be awful waste of space if nothing else was out there.
If anybody has read the bible it talks about ufos alot, they say something about flying, flaming wheels

the universe goes on nearly to infinity, and is still expanding. how could there NOT be extraterrestrial life? Sure, we havent found any yet, but we have explored, what? like, 1/100000infinate zeroes percent of the universe?
