I agree with Natira. Yes, the technology on TOS is "hokey", but the storylines are generally very good. In fact, DS9 took one episode and copied it because it was so popular.

And then there were episodes that totally sucked, like Spocks Brain.  I don't think that they had any real writers that week.
Did you all know that while filming the episode The Devil in the Dark, WS's father died? They said that they had to change some of the way that the original story was written so that Shatner could finish and get home. I know if I heard that MY Dad died, I wouldn't be able to work.

I am sure she is going to get mad at me for this, but I do know one really big reason Maquis74656 likes TOS. Growing up she had the hugest crush on William Shatner. I remember when we were little I had to tell her bed time stories about "Captain Kirk". She is probably going to kill me for this post, so it's been nice talking to you all, see ya at my funeral!

So if anyone has any last words for her, now would be a good time. And since I won't bring myself down to her level, I won't tell you what she used to talk about. And btw, YOUNG William Shatner had very nice eyes, thank you.

TOS is my favorite probably because of loyalty. It was the first ST that I ever saw, so.....

my computer is 4 years old, but it still runs well. Infact, shes still the fastest computer in my school (due to some upgrades)

Thinking as if ST were real, it would be like us getting rid of the Civil War. They fought and sacrificed for our freedom. Should we rewrite history because they didnt have the coolest uniforms, or the best guns?

I did, just in different terms. The Civil War is part of the "foundation" of our country.
Some episodes of TOS are corny, but overall it is pretty good.
