As i recall, the Dark Passions duology was just so-so. It was good, but a little farfetched in places.

Dark Mirror is a direct sequel to TOS: "Mirror, Mirror". It must be a *different* mirror universe from the one seen in DS9, because in that one, Spock's reforms were not accepted and the Terran Empire still stands.

Then, of course, there's the Shatnerverse mirror universe trilogy, consisting of "Spectre", "Dark Victory", and "Preserver", all by William Shatner with Judith & Garfield Reeves-Stevens.

Of course, to fully understand that trilogy, you'd have to have read "The Ashes of Eden", "The Return", and "Avenger" as well, by the same people. These three are collected in the omnibus "Star Trek: Odyssee". (I probably misspelled that).
