I have just got to pondering why those 2 species look so much similar.

Er.. I don't really know, but there's a lot more species which look similar to humans..
And bajorans does have these small ridges across their noses, don't they.
Vulcans look similar to humans too...

oh i see, so then that means all the species are all related however why were humanlike speices the common look of all the species, why not an animal or bug?

Let me rephrase this. Humans evolved to look like we do over millions of years. Is it so impossible to believe that some alien species may have evolved along similar lines?

Man u people scare me lol.I think that the peeps or actors on ST...out of all speoisies on every series..ddint want to put on all that make-up on so they just where lazy and made them look like humans.

There are some aliens such as the "Baku" in Startrek: INsurrection who they didn't even change they look exactly like humans.
There are only so many ways to change a human into an alien!
