I'm going to try it out when the Scifi channel restarts it this fall.
Until that time, my favorite non-Trek series will remain Babylon 5.

Stargate has got a emmy nomination for best visual effects, greatly deserved.
I don't like one thing, that SG1 is on Sci Fi Channel! It's a specialty channel for god sakes! Over 75% of the loyal viewers dont even get that channel! Rating will go down because of that, and most importantly people like me, and millions of others must wait till 2003 to watch the new Season 6 episodes!!!!!!! ahh im done my rant, feel better now.

^The Scifi channel is part of a basic cable package, and cheaper than Showtime, which is what Stargate used to be on. I don't see the problem.
Oh, wait-----it reruns on UPN, doesn't it.....I'd forgotten that.

Most scifi shows have gotten at least one of those. Babylon 5 won visual FX Emmy for the episode "Severed Dreams". Here's a clip from it:

 Stargate SG-1 is one of the best shows on television and thankgod I have the Sci-fi channel. I love O'Neil's sarcasm and humor. And Tealk's humor too.

^If its any consolation, I've heard that Canada's "Space!" channel is far better than the Scifi channel.

I'm sorry if it is any consolation I only get to watch it if my parents are either out for the night, out of town or running late. Because if they are home the hog the satelitte and my TV in my bedrrom doesn't have the Sci-fi channel.

Well here in UK we got Sky 1, Everyday at 5pm TNG is on, and on weekends there is 4 episodes of Various startrek series on saturdays and sundays there is 3 episodes of TNG and 1 voyager. Also stargate is on alot through the week.

i extremely love sg1, i think its a really great sci-fi show but startrek is still my favorite but sg1 is up there. ive watch it from the movie and the first episode when it aired. but the sad part is my crappy cable station doesnt have it anymore or ill be watching the sci-fi channel non stop so now i have to watch sg1 on fox! it doesnt have the new episodes.

I'm not sure if its going to. Since its now on Scifi rather than Showtime, and UPN's rerun deal was with Showtime, its possible season 6 will be Scifi-channel only. Unless UPN makes another deal.

Some people watch it on local channels, and they cut deals with MGM. So if you do watch on local channels than they would have to cut a deal with MGM and SCI FI. Sucks hey?
