I don't think StarTrek will end due to a few reasons.

1:Too many people like It!

2:There are more things to do with StarTrek!

3:StarTrek Is In everybodys hearts even If you don't realize

I don't think Startrek will end coz we're all headin' into the future and that movie is based on the future. As long as the rating is way high too, I think it will continue on forever.

I think it may slow down soon, perhaps be left as just reruns for a while and then bounce back again with a new series and movies

I honestly think the world will be destroyed before Star Trek stops. they will just keep coming out with more and more. No arguments here (except for the new one Enterprise. I dont like going back into the past)

Star Trek is probably the most popular T.V show of all time. Although it has lasted so long, the writers will eventually run out of ideas then...

I doubt that it will end. Even if they stop producing new shows and movies and playing the re-runs, people will still remember it, and they might tell their children, who might tell their children, etc...it's a neverending cycle.
