Cool,

I read somewhere that scientists have developed a transporter, but they can only beam an atom at a time. And a company in New York has developed a universal translator!

Rumors, Rumors.

1) The "universal" translator is being developed for the army (see here http://www.darpa.mil/ and here http://216.239.39.100/search?q=cache:-KYzccUqkGkC:www.darpa.mil/ito/research/babylon/babylon-public.ppt+darpa+babylon+ppt&hl=en&ie=UTF8)
2) The "beaming" of atmos (particles, actually) you are reffering to is probablly one of the recent time travel experiments involving a neutrino
3) Tractor beam, eh? How does that work? Link? Any proof? ( Yes I am a sceptic)

I am aware of they transport - it occured in Austriallia a few months back. The translator I have also heard but, it is veru primative - nothing compared with even Enterprise's UT (Which NEVER, EVER Works! LOL)

I am from the future.
I was transported into a hospital at the tender age of 1 week.
My host was taken back to the starship where he took my place as a starship captain.
This is my price for disobedience.

They've developed a medical scanner, that, unattached can read a fully clothed person's heartbeat from a meter away!

I wouldn't like to be a guinea pig on a transporter, imagine if stuff got mixed up.

Also i hear of projecting holograms (back projection onto some smokey stuff)but obviously you can't touch them!!

Even in 100 years or so, you will most likely be vaporised instead of being transported. So far they can only "transport" (read: destory and recreate elsewhere) a laser beam.

My Friend did a history report on a ship the government was trying to cloak. well lots of people saw the ship sail out to sea, a fue minuts latter in a bright flash the ship diaspeared. it then appeared in a lake that can't be acessed from the sea, somewere in montana. There is pictures of the ship in the atlantic and in the lake, and documented evidence, my friend beleaves it was a transport, that was boched for some reason. and thats why the ship diapeared from the lake and was never sean agen.

If I could remember the name of the experiment I would give you the site, It was made by paranoid conspericy theorist with proff, icluding pictures. So maby the are not Theorist after all, HHMMM. He found the link on a "mysteries of the unexplaind" site that specialized on technology and aliens, he serched for the coed name of the project on YAHOO, when I remember the name I'll post it here.

I am kinda a skeptic (usually I like to see before I believe). I have heard information on warp shell theory, and on transporter technologies. We do need theorys to keep innovation going, and some technologies to research/developed.
