I think alot of people don't understand what it is and don't have access to the books on it.

Hey
I always thought subspace was the layer of space which is below that which we can see, and it is compleetly empty of matter and resistance, and that is where ships go when they are in warp or transwarp. Atleast thats what i thought.

You watched TNG, did you see in the last series where there was that part of space where subspace was being polluted, and when they were talking about it in the briefing room, they described the dammage as a peice of high traffic carpet, which was wering thin. Subspace was breaking through affecting a plannet near by. That gave me the best explanation of subspace if found in the show.

i think its just an empty layer of space that only super fast things can travel through but ireally dont know
