I like Enterprise now. I think its great to actually see the first Deep Space mission from Star Fleet. I think that that's a great story line personally

I agree with IntrepidIsMe . Enterprise is a great show. I like the time they are in only 150 years from now...pretty cool. Its a breath of fresh air. The last three episodes have taken place in the 24th century...gets old after awhile.

When I first heard that it would be set before TOS I didn't think it would be all that good but now I have seen a few of the episodes its my favourite trek series so far with the exception of voyager (naturally).

It should be a bit futher in the future so they would have decent weapons and shields to fight and defend with against the suliban[/i]

well, we have had TOS, TNG, DS9, and VOY all in the future where ones technology improve from the last series, so maybe the people are afraid that going to much into the future will become boring, so they changed the storyline.

Maybe shields, etc will be introduced later in the series as technology progresses. Maybe by the end they will have developed photon torpedoes rather than the "torpedoes" that they have now. You get what i mean...

I can't help but laugh every time I see them using those funny torpedoes that they use in Enterprise

It's a good idea for a prequil.

Firstly ST never really told us about the first ship.

However I believe it is a tactic on ST part. They are trying to make people wait to see what happens in the future, so they will get more viewers.

I loved the idea of starting from the beginning of Trek, and showing us its origins. They did a great job with the first season.....I can't wait for the second!!!

I'm glad it's in the past. It really allows us to see for the first time what mankind's first steps out into the galaxy are like. A valuable piece of Star Trek history.
