PostThu Apr 18, 2002 8:20 pm    Enterprise Theory

Hey. I have a theory for Enterprise as to why it looks more advanced and stuff. Maybe the Suliban, or those temporal accord guys, since they are time travlers, will screw up time at the end of the series or something, and throw that time period out of existence, creating a new timeline (where the NX-01 never existed and Kirk's ships technology looks different and more low tech. This is only a theory I made up, but it seems reasonable.

Well, it seems possible NOW. But after we have seven years worth of this show, no one is going to want to simply time-paradox it out of existence. So I don't think that will happen.

Kirks ship only looked more low tech but I dont see photon torpedos, shields, talking computers, tractor beams, warp 9 engines etc on Enterprise.

But you must admit, it is clear and simple.

That's strange. They use Apple G4 Cubes to run consoles. There's actually a Dell logo onscreen?

They run the consoles using cubes? interesting. In voayger, in a shuttle you can see the mouse cursor for a bief moment. As for the dell logo, I am not sure where it can be seen as I've only been told about it (I ahven't seen it myself- I rarealy watch enterprise).

That is what is the dividing line in the technology that they wanted to use to make the show appear more low-tec

It's hard for them because they have to make stuff look low-tech and still have super graphics.

hmm screw that theory. i know something that might put the whole thing to rest. in first contact the phoenix and stuff look more advanced than TOS. and u might say well its a movie therefore its different from the tv show timeline, but in year of hell sevensays that the borg we present during the time of first contact (obviosouly from the movie). so that shows that enterprise is all right lookin like it is.
