quantums are about twice as powerfull as standard photons
i believe the charge of a normal photon is about 25 isotons
and the charge of a quantum is +50 isotons, i can be wrong if so correct me

Aren't those like tacheon bursts or something? In Startrek Insurrection Picard uses them and when they hit the shields it forces the person to reset there shield harmonics.

Temporal torpedoes are from the "Year of Hell" episode. They can pass through shields without detonating--which, by the way, I suspect transphasics can do as well.

PostSun Jul 21, 2002 2:01 pm    PARASIDAC TORPEDOS

A race I came up with has this weapon

Parasidac Torpedos

They go to your shields drain your shields and replicate spores(which will later damage your shield and eat it away) all In the same process
These would be by far the most damaging Torpedos because Once your ship is hit with them its almost impossible to remove the Spores and while your shields are being drained more and more spores are replicating draining your shields faster and faster and once they drain your sheilds they begin consuming your ship. So Once hit by this your ship is a gonner

I have not really heard much on the transphasic torpedos. I have heard of quantum and phonton, along with the cronoton (sp.( year of hell)). From what I know I say the cronoton (sp.( year of hell)) are the deadliest. My Opinion

What if the ship went into Warp 9 say, wouldn't it like shake the spores off.
Maybe when you say spores i think of something like nanaprobes. I don't know I'm tired and i can't think straight.
I need a cold sonic shower.
