The only problem with Porthos is that he completely steals any scene he's in. You notice that they make sure he's off-camera whenever important stuff is said, right?

*Muses* I'd never noticed that...sometimes Porthos seems awfully electronic. Is there always a real dog playing him, or in some scenes is he computer generated?

I guess it makes sense to that Archer has a dog - it's something that adds to the character and make them unique. Picard had his 'tea earl gray hot', Sisko had that close father and son thing, Janeway had Chakotay (just joking!).

Bet in some coming episode the dog will get injured n nearly end up snuffing it but it wont...unless it is a season finale or something although I hope not, he's a vey cute little dog!

porthos is the best thing on enterprise but u never see him, he must have peed on archers chair as he is confined to quaters like what is he gonna do grab a shuttle craft and fly away
