It is a series that starrs Patric McGoohan. 17 Episodes only. Debued in the summer of 1968.

On the first Episode, it shows that "the Prisioner" or later known as "Number six," resigning from a job in Britain. He is then followed to His humble abode (basically, his house.) and we see that he is packing for a trip. When...

*Gas hissing*

he is hit with "sleeping gas" and goes to sleep.

When he wakes up, he goes to the window, and to his surprise, he is in a strange place later known as "the village."

That is the story.

The only thing that can make it SF is the whirrling, big, white, rubber balls that act like a security system. Thay do attack people by buncing on them until the ambulance arrives and takes them to the hospidal there in "the village."

You would want to rent the episode "Arrival" because it is the first episode of The Prisioner

I remember a time I went to a Star Trek convention, I registered so early that I got badge number six. When I started running round shouting "I am not a number, I am a free man" only a couple of people got it!

It's not a widely known or appreciated show.
