PostMon Jun 10, 2002 7:22 pm    make your own ship: post the stats

I like to draw, and I love star trek, so i spent a year designing and refining my own ship.all ships systems conform to the star trek: encyclopedia and tech manule.i was wondering if anybody else has their own ship. the only rules are:
the ship mustnot be bigger than a any exsisting star trek ship (about 650 meters)
you must not use any tech from the books. only the show or books witch take info RIGHT from the show (like the encyclopedia)
no borg tech
in short try to keep it realistic and not invicible

p.s. i'll post my ship specifications in a later post

HERES A SHIP THATS NOT FROM THE STAR TREK WORLD BUT USES SIMILAR TECHNOLOGY

5 LARGE Anti-matter generators
All standard Ship equipement(life support, Lights ect)
Deflectors that deflect the mass Into a storage area for later use as fuel
Replicators Many of them on all decks 10
Holo projectors on all decks 20
Holo deck
Medical Area
Construction areas 3
Where Robots and Holograms construct various Structures objects things ect
Docking bays 5

Multiphasic shielding
Many Phasers 30
Backup supplies
Warp engines 5
The Winged thing that protects space from dmg by the ship
80 Crewman
Type of Ship - poorly designed ship because it will never be built.

I have 6 pages of graph paper so far with diagrams of this ship and its Deck 1, Sickbay, and Main Engineering (3 pages in and of itself!).

(Update: I've calculated equivalent warp factors for slipstream speeds.)

General
Class: Continuum-class
Ships: U.S.S. Continuum NX-81649, U.S.S. Voyager NCC-74656-A
Mission Type: extreme long-range exploration, possibly in hostile areas
Nominal Mission Duration: 1.5 years
Maximum Mission Duration: 3 years under standard operating procedures, 15 years under rationed operating procedures

Physical Characteristics
Height: 75 meters
Width: 150 meters
Length: 350 meters
Decks: 14 (some parts of Deck 14 have A/B sublevels)
General hull shape: Saucer similar in shape to Intrepid-class, secondary hull similar to Sovereign-class. Nacelle pylons are straight and link between decks 13 and 14A. Nacelles are 140 meters long (40% of ship's length; end 20 meters aft of the secondary hull's rear).

Crew
Normal Crew Complement: 250
Maximum Crew Complement: 400

Weapons
Phaser Arrays: saucer dorsal/ventral, secondary dorsal, secondary port/starboard dorsal, secondary ventral fore/aft
Burst Phasers: saucer port/starboard
Torpedo Tubes: secondary port/starboard forward
Photon Torpedoes: 60
Quantum Torpedoes: 60

Sublight Propulsion
RCS Thrusters: forward/aft saucer, central secondary
Impulse Reactors: two, Main Engineering
Impulse Nozzle Location: port/starboard nacelle pylons
Fuel: slush deuterium; emergency flight rules allow for minute amounts of antideuterium.

FTL Propulsion
Nacelles: 2, fixed
Warp Coils/nacelle: 16
Cruising Warp: 9.0
Maximum Warp: 9.995
Slipstream Coils/nacelle: 3 + one directional coil
Other Slipstream Equipment: field shapers and sustainers are spaced throughout the ship roughly every five meters
Cruising Slipstream: 1 hansen (approx. Warp 9.9999395 eqivalent)
Maximum Slipstream: 2 hansens (approx. Warp 9.99996416 equivalent)
FTL Core: Slipstream M/ARA Mark I (40 meters x 6 meters x 6 meters)
Fuel: slush deuterium, slush antideuterium
Moderating Element: none; reaction must be unmoderated for slipstream
Fuel Replenishment: none; slipstream coils are in the normal ramscoop location

Shuttlecraft
Shuttle bays: 1
Standard Warp Shuttles: 12
Delta Flyer-class Shuttles: 3

Computers
Computer Cores: 1, class VI
Circuitry: regenerative bioneural (bioneural plus maintenence nanites)
