If you buy the new star trek magazine. the tv guide edition. It has every main crew member of every series, and ship. IT gives rank, and other information.

SPOCK WAS THE FIRST OFFICER. Watch ANY Original Series episode and you'll see for yourself. I can't believe anyone who is a member of this forum wouldn't know this. What's next - "Oh, ah, what was the name of Kirk's ship, oh I seem to have forgot." Just remember that Voyager and Enterprise aren't the only two Star Trek shows ever made. Believe it or not, there was once a show actually called STAR TREK. Kirk was captain, McCoy was the Doctor, and Spock was the FIRST OFFICER.

Oh yeah Scotty was the second officer, that's why he was always in command when Kirk and Spock went on an away mission. Scotty was a Lt. Commander on TOS and outranked Sulu (LT.) and Chekov who was just a lowly ensign...come on man, get with the program!

C'mon now, you gotta know it was Spock. Although it can get hard to tell sometimes cuz Kirk and Spock usually went on landing parties leaving Scotty and Sulu to "mind the store" most of the time.
