she did not agree to contract terms. i guess she wanted to do becker more then DS9

I don't think she wanted to do becker more. It think it's more like: "Hummm... sense I'm not going to do DS9 anymore, I'll have to do something else... ah! Becker wants me"

Well, as you can see, I loved her character. I don't think she was money thirsty and she played her part quite well! I think she had a good career with star trek, but, maybe there was a problem with one of the actors that made her want to quit, or she fullfilled her contract.

She told Paramount that she was going to be doing Becker, and asked them to give her fewer scenes. They instead just killed the character. Can't really blame her, though, she knew that DS9 was just about over.

I think that after playing Jadzia for so many years, she felt like she needed to explore more options!

In fact all Trek contracts consits of that, if an acctor wishes to leave they must preform at least two last episodes in order to close the character.

As most actors do today, she probly wanted more money than they wanted to give her. So she felt that she had to leave and find somewhere that was better for her. Since she does have a contract she had to do at least two episodes where her character is written out.

She left to pursue other options, like movies and series. She went to Becker in an effort to get away from type casting. What's more, she knew DS9 had lost a ton of viewers by then and she was mostly out of the public eye. Besides her character got boring after marriage.
