Dont let history repeat itself. Fighting fire with fire does not work, just as fighting violence with violence does not solve annything it only leads to more violence and death which is what we were fighting in the first place.

That is like saying kill all of the Jews because I dont like one of them. You dont kill thousands of people just to kill one of them. Its the same thing as the holocaust, millions of innocent people were killed for the sake of one, dont let that happen again.

about your poll, Islam itself is not the problem, its the extremist. I would say not on droping a nucluer bomb on any country, friend or fow.

I'm sorry, but fighting fire with fire DOES work. Very well, I may add. And fighting to protect your family, country, etc... is not like saying "exterminate that race because they offend me". I don't care if you are Islamic, Jewish, or Southern Baptist, you come in my home, you shoot at me, or a member of my family, you be prepared to face the consequences. It is true that violence can beget violence, but it is also true that BOTH sides have to be willing to talk, and obviously the Al Quaeda are not. If you actually do some research, this war has had the fewest casualties, on any side. What bin Laden is doing is what you said, the"kill all of the Jews because I don't like one of them", NOT the US.

Your comparison really bugs me. Could you explain how you came to that conclusion? Nowhere do I see the US, or her allies, trying to exterminate one race. They are going out of their way to say that this is NOT an attack against Islam, or any race, but the radical extremists who are willing to kill anyone.

That would be good. Some people might not think so, though.

I agree with Mulder.

We know very well that one mere nuclear bomb will destroy the human race.

There are no winners in war.

The sad part is, the reason that most of these types of bombs and such exist, is the same reason as what happened on 9/11. If there were no such thing as terrorists nukes might have never been invented. The problem is that there is no trust. And now with these attacks, we cant afford to. It's just a vicious cycle. Until there is no threat, no one will be willing to lay down their arms. Maybe someday....

If we're lucky, maybe it will happen one day. No wars would be nice.

I would say, destroy all nuclear weapons, If you see the conflict between India and Pakistan now, they will use nuclear weapons if it comes to a war.

There is a very real chance that nukes could be used in that situation, but it's not a given. Both sides have said that neither wants to use nuclear weapons, but no side is backing down, either.
Somehow, being the party that steps back, and says lets see what we can do to avoid an all out war, has been misconstrued as being cowards. I think that they would be the real heroes. Sometimes all you need to do is step away, gain a new perspective, and hundreds of thousands of lives could be saved. It takes more guts to do something like that than to push a button, wiping out thousands while your safe in your little bunker.
Don't get me wrong, I do beleive in war, when necessary, and yes, there are times when polotics just won't work.

I don't think the United States and allies would allow Nuclear war between Pakistan and India. Also, I'm sorry for the people who lost their lives In the Trade Centers and their family's.

Unfortunately, sometimes a war is needed like Maquis said. I hope that everything will end peacefully, but it doesn't look like it so far.

This is a little off topic, but from reading this, I was just reminded of another topic in this forum. Just above it was reffered to of if the US would allow anyone to use Nukes. For those who think that we are "interfering", what would happen if the US stepped back and stayed out of it? Just kinda makes you think....

We really are wrong for staying out of it, and wrong for helping....
