If you haven't seen it yet, rent Spaceballs RIGHT NOW!

Its the funniest thing ever.

Dark Helmet: Before you die, there is something you should know about us, Lone Starr.
Lone Starr: What?
Dark Helmet: I am your father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate.
Lone Starr: .......what does that make us?
Dark Helmet: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Or how about:

<Lone star reaches around a corner and grabs a gaurd by the neck>
Gaurd: What the h*ll are you doing?
Lone Starr: Um....the Vulcan Neck Pinch?
Gaurd: No, no, stupid. You've got it much to high. Its down here, where the shoulder meets the neck!
Lone Starr: Like.....THIS?
Gaurd: Yeah! <Gaurd slumps to floor>

<Watching himself on the TV screen>

Dark Helmet: What the h*ll am I looking at!
Sanders: You're looking at now. Everything that's happening now is happening now.
Helmet: What happened to then?
Sanders: We passed then.
Helmet: When?!
Sanders: Just now. We're at now now.
Helmet: Go back to then!
Sanders: I can't!
Helmet: Why not?
Sanders: We missed it.
Helmet: When?
Sanders: Just now!
<pause>
Helmet: When will then be now?
Sanders: Soon.

The other day I was watching even stevens, and I saw the opening part, where they turned there remotes into light sabers. It was pretty cool. The show sucked though.

I've got a mag somewhere that has a feature on all the films that have mocked Star Wars - I'll see if I can dig it out...

Found it

The article refers to "Spaceballs", "Austin Powers: The Spy who Shagged Me" (Dr.Evil breaths like Vader and says, something along the lines of "Austin, I am your father". Powers : "Really?!". Dr. Evil : "Not really. I can't back that".

The feature also comments on the trailers for Austin Powers - building the scene up as though it is Star Wars but changing at the last minute to Austin Powers with the slogan, "If you see one movie this summer, see Star Wars. If you see two movies, see Austin Powers"

Apparently "The Pirate Movie" also mocks Star Wars though I've never seen it.

The opening credits of Naked Gun features shots of a police car racing down the Death Star trench - the camera being set behind the siren on the roof of the car.

Apparently Toy Story 2 uses Star Wars sound effects and features a father/son revelation.

In Armageddon, two of the astronauts argue about which Star Wars characters they are.

The article also says that during First Contact two Corellian YT-1300 (the same class ship as the Millennium Falcon) freighters are involved in the attack against the Borg. I've never seen it but apparently it's there.

One defininitive mockery of Star Wars was back during the Christmas after The Phantom Menace was released. French and Saunders (a comedy duo) made a spoof of TPM as their Christmas show. I remember watching it and thinking it was hilarious - it might be available on video though I'm not sure.

I just remembered that Carrie Fisher also did an advert for Orange (the mobile phone company) in which some of the cast took the mickey out of her and Star Wars (waving imaginery lightsabres around) though I only saw the advert once - in the cinema (Odeon (Hull), UK).

I adore Spaceballs! My favorite part is when they go, "Oh no! You caught their stunt doubles!" and the stunt doubles look nothing like them.

I remember at one point in time seeing an episode of "Just Shoot Me" where Mark Hamill guest starred as himself and Finch wouldn't leave him alone and was constantly bringing up Star Wars.

I've also come across a website: http://www.starwarsspoofs.com/ It has some pretty humorous snippets in there.

Gondor! Gondor, between the mountains and the sea
West wind blew there; the light upon the Silver Tree
Fell like bright rain in the gardens of the Kings of old
O proud walls! White towers! O winged crown and throne of gold...
