This is another attack that we should never forget. My thoughts and prayers go out to those 168 people who died in this attack. Also to their families.

You sound like some sort of a politician, Curt. I cant relate to this as much, because it didnt affect me as personally as New York. I do feel bad for the families there, but I dont feel justified saying it is a day I'll never forget. When Sept 11 rolls around again, I'm sure I'll know it, but how many of us actually stop to realize the anniversary of the bombing. Sorry if this sounds mean, but I'm just being honest.

I think we should just try to remember this date. It was a terrible tragedy. If we can remember Sept. 11, we can do this too.

I think you guys took what I was saying wrong. I was in NO way trying to downplay the events on 4/19/95. I was just pointing out that it didnt have as big of an affect on me personally. I do care that 168 people died, but I have no connection to make this hit home. I guess I'm trying to say that 4/19 is not remembered as much as 9/11. I didnt want to lie and say that I'd never forget that day. To be honest I bet 4/19 has gone by without being noticed for every person here, at least once. Now that you hopefully know what I was saying, I think that this is a very worthy post, and I will do my best to remember and honor those lives lost and changed by the Oklahoma City Bombing. I just didnt feel right saying I already do, when I honestly havent. I felt that would downplay what happened, and I didnt want to do that.

The dates 4/19 + 4/20 are tragic for more reasons than just Oklahoma City:

The Columbine school shooting tragedy, the Waco massacre, and even Hitler's birthday fall on these dates

A little over a week away. Hard to believe that it's been 7 years. May they all know that God is with them and so are our prayers. Rest in peace to those who lost their lives.

PostThu Apr 18, 2002 10:43 pm    Just a few minutes til the 7 yr anniversary.

To anyone here who may have lost family or loved ones, my heart goes out to you. It's terrible to lose someone so tragically. Hopefully through our losses we'll gain strength to unite and stand against Terrorism. Unity is the only thing that will get us through.
