I think Captain Archer is kidof lam compared to other Captains. He doesnt have the experience it seems. He get to close and favorises many people to much nad a captain i supposed to have some distance to the crew. And one thing that irriates me when he speaks to other people "on the screen" he ALWAYS turns away and look and the other officers. That is lame and gives me the impression that he is not sure of himself and seeks confirmation from other people around him all the time, I mean he is the captain, he should know. And also he interferes with other cultures too much, even if that is one of the objectives of his journey, but he interferes with them even when people are telling him when not to. Especially in the vulcan temple of PJem, even if he did end up saving it and discovered some dark vulcan secrets it was their sanctuaries. And he seem to think that humans reallyare super superior, sure all humans probably think that compared to other species but he seems to opress them, especially TPol which he usually racks down on, and when he invite other species he looks down on them it seems. Cant really back up my last thesis with evidence but its a feeling I got. In conclusion he is the worst captain ive seen in a Star Trek series or movie.

I forgot this in my last post. Janeway is the best Captain all categories and Seven of Nine would never become a better captain becuse her people skills are so low, she doesnt like crowds; how is she ever gonna be able to adres the whole crew- face to face? Even though seven is an excellent crew member she could never lead a whole crew; she would rely to much on protocols and experiences, she can never adapt to a new situation. Janeway has outdone all the other captains all categories and will continue to do so for a long time, her versatility is impecable.
Captain Kathryn Janeway will continue to rule for many Star Trek series long.

We are comparing Scott Bakula to all of the other captains who have already proven themselves. It will take time for him to show what he is made of.

I agree. But still I think we have seen his general traits as a person and a captain. But still we should not judge him yet.

It will be kinda hard to beat Janeway, but I love Bakula in Quantum Leap. So, I think he'll make a good captain too.

I never saw Quantum L even tho I had friends who were totally in luv w/it. But I've seen Scott Bakula and had heard of him.
I'm always willing to give people a chance but I'm sorry I just can't get into Enterprise. When I look at a Trek incarnation I need an actor who steps forward and takes command of the stage.
I got that from Shatner...
I got that from Stewart...
I got that from Brooks...
I got that from Mulgrew...
from the first episode, those actors OWNED the show. I haven't got that from Bakula yet.
Maybe he'll grow to the role. But heck, I can't get into Enterprise either.
What do I know????

I feel that for the time and the series that Scott is becoming an excellent Captain and he is adjusting to his new role and position as a Captain of a actually I should say the first starfleet ship quite nicely. Even though he is quite arrogant and over presumptuious ( i know I spelt that wrong) at timesbut all humans were that early in star trek space history.
